Aubameyang is a head case. I think the top teams in need of a striker have recognized this and we're turned off.

What overall game?
Link up play, dribbling, pressing, positioning, poaching, determination, etc. And of course he's a very good finisher as well.
The Demon of Carthage wrote:Blue wrote:My feeling is Costa is not going anywhere, unless Atletico pays what we want or remotely close.
Chelsea will not go after Morata.
I really hope Costa stays with you guys for the sake of La Liga.
The Madrid derby was a living hell with him around. The two teams couldn't string two passes in a row without him throwing a tantrum, or elbowing somebody or yelling at the referee.
He's one of the dirtiest, most ill-mannered and annoying players I have ever seen.
I hope Atlético doesn't bring him back to Spain.
Can't wait to see his back side out the door. He's honestly quite simply a massive sappy c*nt. I've had it with him and I don't want to ever see him in a Chelsea shirt again.
The tantrum he threw in January when China offered him big money was the last straw for me. Almost tanked our entire season for selfish reason. One minute he's laughing, next minute he's a walking time bomb. I'm done. DONE. Atletico can have him for pennies for all I care. We need to move on. Such a frustrating player.

The Demon of Carthage wrote:Why is United paying crazy money for players that aren't worth it?
I mean I would understand if you splashed 200m on Messi. But 120m for Pogba and god knows how much for Lukaku? Jesus, slow down!
Also, if you're willing to pay that much, why not add a few extra millions and go for Mbappe?
And it's really baffling coming from a guy who used to be so meticulous and careful with transfers in the past. Is Mou getting desperate?
Err because he doesn't want to join us?!
The money paid for Pogba is going to look reasonable soon. And for Lukaku well, if a 16 year old kid from Brazil who hasnt played top flight football is costing like 40m these days, 75m for a PL proven cf is not that big tbh.
Btw as usual the media are quick to make us look bad. 90+10 we are paying Everton to take him off of us? Pathetic.

Jay29 wrote:If your choices was £80m for Morata or £100m for Lukaku... you'd probably stump up the extra and get Lukaku. It's crazy but United aren't going to be effected much by spending that much at once.
THIS
Lukaku is a top striker and it's silly to suggest otherwise.
He's still very young yet has scored a hell of a lot of goals consistently and reliably.
He's scored under different managers and at different clubs.
His overall technique isn't that great but he scores and scores. That's the most important thing a striker, and a team, has to do. There is no argument against that. He's like the Belgian Mario Gomez.
The money is silly of course but this is Raiola and Man Utd.
I'm actually kind of mad Utd didn't pay that crazy money for Morata, because now they've got an actual top striker whereas I would hae loved to troll them when Morata continues to prove mediocre.
I just hope Mourinho's ego will find a way to *bleep* this up, and I hope Conte doesn't manage to turn Morata into a top striker.

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
His technique isn't even the issue with him, he's quite good at carrying the ball for example.
His issue that i have had for a long time and still do to be frank, his off the ball movement leaves a lot to be desired.
He may improve but the reason i prefer Kane is because he's much better at creating space for his midfielders.

Kane is an elite striker. If he ever leaves Spurs, it'll probably be for 120m+. Has everything in his locker. Lukaku still has a lot to improve on. Time will tell if his link up play, first touch and movement will improve but I wouldn't hold my breath. Regardless, he'll score goals. Maybe not at an insane rate but United will get 20+ out of him every season.

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
Lukaku is already a top class striker and the only thing he has to prove is that he can also do it in the Champions League. In the Premier League, only Kane is a better striker. It's a great acquisition if Mourinho knows how to use him.
The "poor" first touch thing people like to bring up just shows that they have no idea what they are talking about. He has made a huge improvement in general play since joining Everton and especially last season he was pretty flawless.

Police in the United States have confirmed Belgium international Romelu Lukaku was arrested in Beverly Hills, California, and will appear in a US court in October.
Lukaku was arrested on July 2 after officers warned him five times to turn down party music at the same location, and was given a "misdemeanour citation".
The 24-year-old Everton forward is on the verge of a £90m transfer to Manchester United and completed his medical in the States ahead of the proposed move.

Wolves have secured the services of Ruben Neves from Porto in a club-record deal of around £15m.
The 20-year-old defensive midfielder became the youngest captain in Champions League history when he led Porto against Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2015.
"I'm very excited to play at this club," says Neves, who has moved in a five-year deal.
Liverpool will buy him for £45mil next season

Actually makes me wonder why Liverpool weren't all over that rather than trying to pay 70 mil for Keita.

You mean how much did Man Utd have to pay to get rid of him.
Let's say Lukaku's value is 60m, United had to pay 15m more just to get rid of Rooney.

Pep has nothing to do with Aguero's performances, he can be blamed for an awful lot of things at City but Aguero not performing isn't one of them.
Aguero refusing to make runs off the ball and needing 5 chances to score one isn't the fault of his manager.
It's not like Pep's approach stifled Aguero and prevented him from scoring goals, they created as many chances as anyone.
