Well, at least Glory got his wish of not seeing his club sign Morata.

Didn't want Lukaku at Chelsea, but clearly he is a better player and choice than Morata.

Good move by United.

I mean he's PL proven so I'll take him but I'm not happy with it. Can't wait to see Valencia whipping in crosses to Fellaini and Lukaku every time we're in the opposition half

but tbf my ideal signing was Harry Kane which wasn't going to happen, Lukaku is the next best thing I guess.

I hope that means we keep Morata, crazy how ZZ can solve our striker mess by just selling Benz, but instead here we are with a disgruntled Morata wanting to leave and Mbappe not wanting to come because he knows he'll be benched. He's quickly becoming our new Kaka. Ffs just feck off

I think Everton is just playing the media trying to force Chelsea and United into a bidding war. And I hope neither club give them the silly 100m they want.

Isn't Lukaku one of the top strikers in Premier League ?

Morata is not even a good CF, he's more efficient as SS/winger that cuts inside.

Well, yea eventhough its kinda feels good to show middle finger to Perez and his blatantly unreasonable valuing of Morata (Either you guys want to keep no matter what or its about funding Mbappe, otherwise 90m for Morata? like what in the world?! ) overall I will be left pretty disappointed just as well if the player we turn to instead is Lukaku.

Was always against this signing right from the word go. I guess he is improved lately. But still a pretty useless player who has only way of playing football. Anyway, let's see. Will obviously get behind the lad if we sign him.

I honestly believe Benzema should get a statue and a book written about him. He's an inspiration and the proof that nothing is impossible in this world.

I also believe that he should really consider becoming a motivational speaker after he retires from football. No one, and I truly mean NO ONE, is a better fit.

Regardless of what we might think of Benzema now, history will be kind to him.

Going with the assumption the prices Utd are bidding with are true, I feel Madrid is just being spiteful due to the De Gea fiasco i.e whatever took place behind the scenes during that transfer, Perez is holding a real grudge over. I mean, I would have taken the 65 or 70 million and put a bow tie around Morata. Free of charge.

That's what I would say, were it not for...Mourinho's prior history with Lukaku. I judge Mourinho to be the kind of guy to subconsciously want to keep proving the world his initial judgement was right, and this whole thing might not work out due to that.

Better is debatable. Like really debatable. They are, however, the same age. Less money is probably just about right though.

Also, clearly Raiola has taken over Utd from Mendes.

Lukaku scored above 15 in every season of his career except for one and scored 25 last season.

It's not debatable tbh, i have being very critical of Lukaku but Morata isn't in his league.

Only reason this is a discussion is because the latter plays for Real Madrid, if he didn't he wouldn't even be worth 20m.

I don't want to hear about overall play and all that nonsense either, strikers score goals and Morata doesn't before last season his best record was 8 goals lmao.

Inb4 goals as a sub in half a season of his career.

The only thing going against Lukaku is his garbage first touch, but then United spent a decade with Rooney up front and did fine. His hold-up and link-up still need a lot of work. He's a bit too reliant on his strength in those situations. And I guess there might be a question mark about him in big games, but that's difficult to judge considering he's been playing for Everton.

But since United are looking for a pure goalscorer there's no question he'd be a better fit than Morata.

Milan are really making a lot of smart moves. I'm really impressed.

man u are a team that hits the ball forward as quick as possible and aim crosses into the box so lukaku should do great for them.
