Bernardo Silva basically looks like what everyone hoped David Silva would be.

Of course he is a good player. I didn't say he wasn't. He looked like he would be even better back in 08 though, and B. Silva looks like he will reach those levels.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
he's played about 50 mins in the PL, 40 of them against Bournemouth let's relax before claiming he's better then David Silva already lol

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Yeah, David Silva gets far too casually dismissed by some, for my taste.
Great, very dangerous and creative player who has performed on a very high level for many, many years.

thinking the same thing when I saw that post smh
Silva looked decent against Juventus too but calma Rincon, you've probably seen all of 200 minutes of him max
Even Federico Macheda had more minutes at top level than that

I think he's a good to very good player but pundits in the UK act like he's the best midfielder since prime Cesc and one of the all time PL greats. He isn't, goes missing far too often.
That said he's started this season well and it seems he will remain integral to Pep.

Lol Bernardo was hyped already 3 years back by main man farfan and last season, even the slowest and most clueless of us, like me, could follow him having a fantastic season for a very strong team.
So gtfo all of you.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
I watched maybe 10 Monaco games last year in CL and Ligue 1, including the schooling he gave City. Enough to see that he is on the way to be the better Silva.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Silva didn't look too great in the CL IMO. He's obviously a very good player, I was calling for us to sign him ffs (still salty at that, would have been perfect for us). I'm just saying calma with the disrespect to David Silva. Let's see how he does over the course of a full season in the GOAT league.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
He did utterly ruin City though in the CL, fair enough. Actually I take it back, that was one of the best individual performances I saw last season in CL
Hope he flops in the PL tbh.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Its not that I don't rate David ffs, I like the player, its just that I rate the talent of Bernardo a lot.
David can be amazing and in general is pretty fun to watch. Back when I first saw him in euro 08 I thought he looked like an amazing talent (which he has), but he also goes missing way too often.
