Quick editing lmao. Initially you were badmouthing Courtois until you realized he doesn't play for Spurs.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Football is so intriguing, pretty sure many betters lost money for this game, Chelsea was in so much trouble nobody rated them.
This game was quite disappointing until towards the end thought, top two teams from last season, scoring through set pieces, although they did both hit the post, and probably the natural of Chelsea's setup made it like that. Chelsea despite so much weakened created so much in counters though, amazing.
Spurs definitely disappointing, the fact that they didnt buy anyone to strengthen really, so its just mainly just the front 3, dont get the feel goals are going to come from anywhere else in the team, their FBs are not good enough, just so limited, and only have Son as alternative. Their defending definitely not good enough by todays showing as well, really poor. At times it felt like Dembele was their midfield, the other midfielders felt almost invisible. So much for the best team of the last two seasons?
Today Chelsea played well and defend so well as usual, with Luiz like the extra defender today, but it really exposed Spurs limits. Before the game rated Spurs above Chelsea, now definitely the other way around since Chelsea definitely will improve with players coming back, while Spurs is just this unless they strengthen, still good, but dont think enough to win anything major.
Btw love Conte's passion, must really rub off on his players Dont know whats happening behind the scenes, but wont underestimate them again. Poc looks so beat in the end, cant help but feel hes bit overrated?
Credit must goto Conte and Chelsea though, a performance like this after recent struggles, really stuff of champions.

Tottenham losing does bring me joy. Thank you Chelsea for jammying your way to a victory. Certainly Alonso is doing enough for Chelsea to hold back their pursuit of Sandro.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Alli was so disappointing today. He's meant to be one of the best talents in the world but deny him space in the box and he's close to useless. I hope Southgate watched that and learned so I don't have to see him as England's main creator ever again.
Chelsea will be fine. They might not win the league again but they won't implode.

I don't know why anyone would think a Conte team could implode tbh

an early CL exit would benefit Chelsea, don't see them competing in both comps. Too little depth IMO.

Lloris is one of the most overrated goalkeepers of all time. It boils my blood when I see people rate him to be the best GK in PL.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
I don't see anyone doing that, DDG is regarded as the best by far usually. Lloris and Courtois in the same tier as good but error prone every now and then.
He's still better than all the rest.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Today Spurs showed what i been saying, they seriously lack creativity outside of Eriksen when teams sit back like that.
They needed someone who can open a defence up, but everyone was just running into 3 bodies every time.
They never win the league until that changes.

If Sergio Aguero scores in today's match against Everton, he will become the most prolific non-European goalscorer in Premier League history. premierleague.com
Found this interesting, what do you call the opposite of a flat-track bully??

Teams for City vs Everton:
Ederson; Stones, Kompany, Otamendi; Walker, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, D. Silva, Danilo; Jesus, Aguero
Pickford; Jagielka, Williams, Keane; Holgate, Gueye, Schneiderlin, Davies, Baines; Calvert-Lewin, Rooney
Can't see anything but Everton getting smashed here.
