Nothing to do with tired legs.
This is a player that looks the defender(s) straight in the eyes and asks them; are you up for a challenge, lads?
He runs into defenders then cuts through them like a knife cuts through butter.

Fosu Mensah against Mane. Okay. Let's see how good the lad really is.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
You should win easily tho. Watched Palace's last game and they were atrocious barring ofc TFM and Loftus Cheek, incidentally their 2 loanees lol. Their players arent at all comfortable playing tiki taka in a 3-4-3 system. They will take too long passing around and Pool's gingerpressing will make their already hard life miserable.
I dont think De Boer has really gauged how mediocre his team is to actually force a complete tactical overhaul.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
In fairness, United would have finished much higher last season had their finishing not been crap all season. Chance creation was never an issue for them. Lukaku is a great signing because he'll take those chances.
I will say though, as impressive as the 4-0 wins are, I don't think that's sustainable throughout the season.

Good to see Palace not sitting back. Also seems Frankie has slightly tweaked his style. Theres more direct passing today at least compared to last week.

Marko Arnautovic sent off for West Ham. They're already 1-0 down (Gabbiadini scored).
West Ham to go down, imo. They're a mess.

Firmino really, really bad so far. But apparently pointing that out makes me a hater.

Conveniently using this match of all games to point it out shows your agenda.

I'm using this match because I'm watching it. I'm basically a Livepool supporter too ffs, to a certain percentage.
Also, why the *bleep* doesn't Klopp learn? Sturridge starting has never once worked out for his Liverpool, why is he still starting?

People actually wouldn't mind them winning it, that's why there isn't one.

Unless we actually play and beat some decent team, no one's wasting time to create that thread.
West Ham and Swansea are like literally the 2 worst teams this season.

Two 4-0 thrashings and nobody on GL made a thread yet. This place isn't what it used to be smhGreat Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Sri wrote:Where is the Mou Utd EPL Champions thread ffs?

People made a City one before the season even started lol.
Let's be real here there wouldn't be one made even if the teams you beat were good.

I would mind very much, but I'm tired of endless repetitions of boring formulaic jinx threads

He's lost his shite, Solanke should have started if Robertson is whipping in crosses. Horrible team selection from all sides today. He's just put out an 11 hoping it performs.
Sturridge is not in the game, Firmino is playing on the right and far from the action with no support from Gomez because Gomez is not a RB. Mane has no one close to him to pass too.
Its all an absolute mess, All it needs is a Palace goal from a set piece.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Apart from that, United finished last season as 6th, before as 5th.
Calling them favourites for the title is laughable, and two wins over lower table teams doesn't change that one bit.
First good opponent they get, Mou is going to bench Mkhi for Lingard and Fellaini and play a midfield three of Matic-Smalling-Jones ahead of a 5 man defense, and they'll be back to goalless draws
