Remember some time ago saying i don't get what Manchester see in him or something like that , and getting molested by a couple of United fans for it , apparently i hadn't watched enough of him
Will i ever get the chance , i wonder
He had 6 months where he looked like the most dominant defender in the world and has been a back-up since, with some injuries too, he isn't rated that highly now by any of us, we were fooled
but guess what, he's still proven more than that lad Ravioli that Milan fans have been claiming is WC for a couple seasons and who isn't even a top 100 CB in the world in reality

Matic is looking beastly for us, that said I'm used to seeing him do that for Chelsea for 2 months of the season. Hope he stays consistent though for us

Why did Chelsea sell Matic?

They are a business model not a club. Conte said No, Board sold him.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
didn't they spend pretty much the same money on his replacement, bakayoko? I guess bakayoko could rise in value going forward but I'm not sold on him being someone who will even reach the level Matic has at times

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
The reason Matic went is because alongside Kante he's utterly pointless.
His performance today doesn't surprise me, he's a very good player when he's the only DM.

learned not to get hype when 1 goal ahead with this team last season though
expecting to concede, just hope we're 2 or 3 up before then

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
agreed on Matic, he was better the season before for Chelsea whe but he was kinda pointless when Kante is alongside him (Kante is unquestionably better too) so it makes sense to get a more dynamic partner for Kante, that said, from what I've seen of Bakoyoko he doesn't really fit that profile. wasn't aware Conte didn't want to let Matic go.

He is been looking to leave for a while plus the Chelsea board have this approach where they allow players to leave amicably if they have been good servants.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Curious to see how Matic fares for us in the long term. So, far in the 1 and a half games he's played, he has been damn good. If he do keep his level up, wow Chelsea board will have some answering to do.
Anyway the overreaction from some of our fans been lolworthy. West Ham has virtually no midfield.
