Re: Mbappé set to be a galactico?
Paris Saint-Germain on brink of signing Kylian Mbappe and are also close to capturing Fabinho
The Ligue 1 side threaten to boast the best forward line in world football having already landing Neymar.
Paris Saint-Germain are on the point of adding the €180million capture of Kylian Mbappe to their unprecedented and controversy-laden €222m signing of Neymar.
According to PSG and Monaco sources, the Qatar-owned club do not intend to stop at creating a forward line of Mbappe, Neymar and Edison Cavani at a combined transfer fee cost of significantly more than €450m. They also have a deal in place to bring Fabinho from AS Monaco and are attempting to persuade Jan Oblak to join them from Atletico Madrid.
As The Daily Record reported last month, PSG were one of three clubs to offer Monaco a transfer fee of €180m for Mbappe, a record sum for a teenager and, following the Ligue 1 side's release-clause recruitment of Neymar, a figure that would be the second highest ever paid for a professional footballer. Real Madrid and Manchester City were also in competition for the striker's signature.
Pep Guardiola has led City's efforts to persuade Mbappe to join a club he helped knock out of last season's Champions League, meeting the 18-year-old in person to discuss the proposed move. Madrid's approach has been handicapped by concerns over making space for Mbappe in their Galactico-laden squad, leading the European champions to float a reluctant Gareth Bale on the transfer market.
All three clubs are willing to meet Mbappe's salary demands, which according to a source familiar with the negotiations, are for a basic salary of between €7 and €8m net.
Following Madrid's 2-1 UEFA Super Cup victory over Manchester United on Tuesday, Madrid president Florentino Perez told reporters that he did not expect the club to make any acquisitions this month. “I don’t think there will be any more, we already have great players," Perez said. “My and Zidane’s idea after winning the Champions League was to do nothing and keep the team as it was.”
Fabinho, who Monaco initially priced at €45m, was included on the summer recruitment lists of both Guardiola and Jose Mourinho. City were involved in advanced negotiations for a player who can operate both in midfield and as a full back, then stepped away from a deal earlier this summer. United elected to reinforce their midfield with Nemanja Matic from Chelsea, a player with extensive experience of English football and Mourinho's methods.
Oblak, 24, is considered one the best goalkeepers in Europe and has been Atletico's No.1 since March 2015. PSG attempted to sign the Slovenia international last summer; his current contract runs until 2021 and includes a €100m buy-out clause. It is understood the player has reservations about leaving Atletico in the current window as a FIFA transfer ban prevents the club from signing a replacement until January.

PSG to the rest of Europe:
“They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.”
Referring to Madrid, PSG said, “They have been very threatening beyond a normal state, and as I said, they will be met with fire and fury, and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before.”"

Didn't realize PSG was owned by Daenerys.
It does explain their constant flopping at the most crucial moments though

Re: Mbappé set to be a galactico?
Wait Mbappe to PSG is actually going to happen?
1) We need football to calm tf down. Someone needs to do something immediately imo, this is disgusting. Reminds me of the .1%'ers in USA tbh
2) I don't want to reverse jinx the reverse jinx, but did Madrid just get bullied out of Mbappe by PSG?
And I do mean to use the term bullied

I don't see how Monaco would accept this. They'd rather sell to City or Madrid

I wonder if Madrid could've gotten him if they had acted sooner Then again, these oil sheiks seem to have a boundless budget and I'm sure they wouldn't have let that happen.

it's a done dealio. 130ME transfer fee, 7ME/year salary. the only impediment is Nike's intervention but Perez is going to deal with it in the next few days.

Re: Mbappé set to be a galactico?
Unbelievable merchantry going on. Only looking for the ligue 1 title, basically giving up on his old team and joining their rivals. Don't like this guys mentality at all. You praise him for his brain but he won't even dare to compete with a injury prone Bale and Benzema. To me seems like he lacks a brain, sense of dignity and respect for his old team

Re: Mbappé set to be a galactico?
I wonder how people will see mbappe if his move to psg finally comes to fruition. Especially in france tbh. It will show a very poor side to his mentality. I mean, should the arrival of neymar have that much pull on him? Why not just go to your dream club madrid in the first place would they? Madrid would not bench their record signing, would they? If he so much believes in his ability then why is he so scared of being on the bench? I mean, with the hype around him and age on his side, shouldn't he walk into a strike for that includes an old 32 year old and 'weak' ronaldo, an 'almost useless' 30 year old benzema and a 28 year old 'past it' bale?

Re: Mbappé set to be a galactico?
Anyway, i doubt psg would actually sign mbappe tbh. Btw, i read on the telegraph that a senior staff at psg has said that they are not going sign mbappe this summer after the aquisition of neymar. They said that they had 3 top priorites which was A) to sign neymar B) if they dont succeed in signing neymar then they will try to sign mbappe as a plan B C) if both fails, then they sign sanchez. Now, they've got their top priority in neymar so why would they want to sign mbappe for that fee. A fee that could be used to strenghten other places in their team?

What'd be the implications in the unlikeliest scenario that Mbappe ends up staying in Monaco after all this hullabaloo?

Re: Mbappé set to be a galactico?
Moreso why would mbappe sign for psg where he wont be top dog? It will be similar to the neymar/messi situation imo. But in madrid, he would be revered and walk into their starting 11. There, he would be the main man with their strikeforce now aging and mostly underwhelming. Madrid are his dream club, he would be a starter, the world would see his full potential, he wouldnt play second fiddle, he would play for the biggest club in the world, it would be his own team, so whats not to like? It would be better than going to psg where they worship neymar and havnt hidden the fact that neymar will it will remain so, at least till neymar leaves. Plus, he would be second fiddle there which i wont like. Enough of everyone villaging into one team. Spread out talent for christ sake. Neymar has done it, Bale should do thesame and benzema should have done same long ago.

Because most players don't actually give a shit about that.

Re: Mbappé set to be a galactico?
I'm totally confused today. Media has umteen stories today about Mbappe and they all are conflicting.
- Mbappe going to PSG for record amount, playing 2nd fiddle to Neymar, but will Monaco accept.
- PSG not interested in Mbappe after Neymar signing.
- Madrid silently back in picture, have agreed with Monaco for 130 plus variables
- no news what so ever re City who several here say that is his destination.
- that he will remain at Monaco for another year.
And all stories sound legit!!
I wonder if Trump is behind all this fake news!

he scored 10 goals last season because of cr. he would have probably scored 50+ if he were the main striker tbh

Re: Mbappé set to be a galactico?
Monaco is out of the picture. Monaco President publicly stated that Mbappe needs to leave "for sporting reasons" and they haven't even offered a new contract. So he wouldn't even make 7 digits on his current contract or barely lol.

Rabiot-Motta-Verratti
Kurzawa and Alves as the attacking fullbacks
Not sure about the defense but they will score an insane number of goals lol.

Loïc Tanzi says that's bullshit.
He isn't moving this season IMO. Highly doubt it. Specially not to PSG.
