Bethesda has started sending invites out for its E3 2017 press conference, and it’s styled after an amusement park map with all of its games shown as attractions.



As you can see in the image tweeted by Bethesda’s Pete Hines, two of these attractions are under construction and feature “coming soon” signs. Looking over the map, starting from the Fallout 4 park entrance and heading right you see the first attraction under construction.

Continuing counterclockwise on the map, you’ll come to what appears to be Quake Champions, as the characters look like heroes Nyx, Scalebearer, and Ranger. Continuing on, you come across Doom and The Elder Scrolls Online, which features imagery of the Morrowind expansion’s mushrooms and the Red Mountain.

But there’s also a dragon sitting on a pillar, and since – currently – there aren’t any of these creatures in TESO, it may just be a reference to Skyrim. It looks a lot like a large version of the game’s Totem to Peryite, to me at least. But, as one of our readers pointed out, it is also reminiscent of the White Tower in Imperial City (or Cyrodiil City) in Oblivion, so it’s a homage to both Skyrim and Oblivion it seems. Either way. We like it.

The next area is the second coming attraction, followed by Prey and Dishonored 2.

It’s known that Bethesda has two unannounced projects in the works which are similar in scope to Fallout 4 and Skyrim.

Neither are The Elder Scrolls 6 as it is in very, very early in development and a long ways off, according to Todd Howard. The two projects in the works coming from the firm will be released before another entry in the Elder Scrolls franchise. We expect ES6 to release sometime before 2030. I’m joking. Take your time, guys and gals, but please release it before then.

Back in February 2016, Howard said the studio was working on “three long-term” projects “different than anything” it has done before, but it would still be a “Bethesda-style game.” So while we’re crossing our fingers for a reveal on at least one of these titles, there are other projects in the works outside of Bethesda Game Studios.

It’s more than plausible one of the games “under construction” on the map is The Evil Within 2. A rumor from last year suggested a sequel to Tango Gameworks’ horror title along with Wolfenstein 2 from MachineGames would be revealed at E3 2016, but neither came to pass.

As recently as March, a job listing in Japan for Psycho Break 2 (the game’s Japanese title) popped up online, so it’s pretty easy to assume The Evil Within 2 is coming at some point.

Bethesda said the game sold well enough to warrant a sequel, but so did id Software’s Rage, so that is a possibility too. Don’t quote us on that, though.

Like last year, the firm will host its E3 2017 press conference on Sunday, June 11 the day before the show kicks off. It starts at 7pm PDT /10pm EDT /3am UK.

Microsoft will also host its E3 conference that Sunday, but it will take place a couple of hours before Bethesda’s so there will be a small reprieve between the two. Microsoft’s pressers tend to last around 90 minutes, and it will start at 2pm PDT /5pm EDT /11pm UK.
