So this is just a formality right? This is definitely a Ronaldo win thus sealing one of the biggest comebacks in our time.

Ronaldo should win this one with ease imo. And if Argentina fail to make the WC and Portugal make it, Ronaldo might win next years too

I doubt this event warrants a separate thread. Just take a look at the list of nominees, it makes me cringe.

They never get all the list fair, but as long as the top 3 is, then its ok... Ronaldo is going to win it, tie with Messi 5-5, just amazing. But hes had much luck for 2-3 of his wins... I always like to add Messi is the better always though And also Messi will keep on winning and take the lead again in the years ahead

In my book its close but Ronaldo built such a big lead, the spring is all his. The clutchness and relentlessness vs Atletico Bayern and Juve consecutively is just something we havn't seen before, ever.

We all knows Flo's influences and for that year, how they delayed the voting to include those games just so in Ronaldo's favour. It happens with many fields. Dont think it would happen for Messi, since that would need Barca doing what Flo does so well.

Definitely though, overall Ronaldo and Messi at different times really just pushing their claim for it this time, pretty even overall, but Ronaldo still to edge it.

Casemiro not in is really a huge mistake, not surprised though, hes not the star type and hence misses out and goes to show what this award is about.

Casemiro isn't only doing the defensive duties but he's also scoring in important games too but hey lets nominate Kante and Benzema and not Casemiro #Yolo
