I am just waiting for COD WW2 reviews before buying Destiny 2.

Getting Destiny sometime this week probably, as for Battlefront i'll probably get it because of Star Wars hype and the campaign will make me feel ok about it even if the MP is crap.

Last Light is fantastic, easily one of the best FPS single player i have played since Bioshock.

I haven't finished the original yet.

I may check it out, getting the itch for a new multiplayer game and I only played Destiny 1 for 30 mins so it will still feel fresh to me, that said, watched a lot of footage and didnt do much for me

Can't lie, Nioh's story is pretty mediocre to poor. If it wasn't for the gameplay, I would have dropped it weeks ago.

it gets kinda cool towards the end, could have been a lot better, the concept of what the villain is going around and doing is neat but needed a few more focal characters and story events

I take it the story in Souls and Bloodborne is better then? even if you ignore the lore you have to find yourself?

I can only speak for myself, but I remember that there wasn't a single good alternative to Destiny at the time, and so I probably would've bought it whether the game seemed particularly appealing or not. I just needed something, anything fun to play on my brand new PS4. I actually considered buying the CoD: Ghosts port before I found out that Destiny was going to be released.

Another thing I remember was that many people were complaining that there weren't many triple A games available for PS4 and Xbox at the time (compared to past console generations), and hipster Mole strongly disagreed with that claim

Mainly because when Destiny released i didn't have a PS4.

I am enjoying the story in Nioh but I'm getting burnt out. Needed better variety of enemies and environments.

The sub missions and twilight missions>>>>>>>>chalice dungeons. Wish those had better storylines though.

Villain is really interesting and that is the only part which is still keeping me excited for the ending. Rest of it is just boring because it's the same side story in every mission presented differently. Also William is a boring MC with no personality.

Well it's different because there is a story in Nioh unlike the soulsborne series but yea. The lore is A LOT more interesting in those games.

I'm not making it up You were the only person on here arguing that past console generations had the same lack of triple A games during the first year after their release, or something along those lines. I have no clue whether that's true or not, but it didn't really matter. The lack of non-indie games during the first 1-2 years after the PS4s release was pretty frustrating.

This. I can fight most of the enemies with eyes closed now because of how predictable each fight is.

The previous gen was pretty shit in the first year IMO, with that said it picked up faster than this gen did.

Yeah, I bought my PS4 one year after it's official release and the selection of new, non-indie games was depressingly scarce. Can't really complain at this point in time, though. We've gotten plenty of fantastic games since then. Single player ones, in particular. PS3/xbox OG wins the competition for king of online multiplayers, in my humble opinion.

Only thing that's in Battlefront is upgraded versions of standard equipment which you can unlock through playing anyway.

Also Overwatch is far from perfect tbh, main reason why is because it takes them months to add new maps, modes and heroes.

I don't like any of the systems tbh and they all have their faults.

You can't buy weapons outright, but you can spend money on mods, which upgrade your damage, health and health regeneration among other things. Based on what I've heard about Destiny 2, the deal-breaker for me would be how they drastically lowered the difficulty level from the first game, removed the option to actually change difficulty levels, and are now basically holding your hand throughout the entire campaign. They've put a lot of effort into dumbing down the PvE part of the game, yet they're advertising tactics for the PvP portion. Destiny 2 just reeks of bad vibes and cynicism on the part of the publisher.

Cyberpunk2077 will be 4 times larger than the Witcher 3 and it's DLC combined.

Therefore i don't believe it, i have no doubt it will be bigger because it makes sense for a game with vehicles to have a bigger space to play in than a game with horses.

But 4 times? yeah i have trouble believing that also they didn't state what it's 4 times bigger than.

Stating it's bigger doesn't necessarily mean the map, it could mean a lot of different things.

But yeah i think it's BS anyway.

Yeah, it's definitely not a completely reliable source, but considering what we already know about the game, it should have a massive world, nonetheless. Can't think of any other game I'm more hyped for.

I just don't particularly believe the specifics, the more interesting for me from the leaks is the stuff about the classes.

Seem actual confirmed stuff here, but the leak seems to state that the storyline actually changes based on your class and if you switch your class mid game the path and quests will change. ( there was more but i don't remember the specifics)

Good read, 10k per person a month seems f***ing insane. Especially on those dev teams for bigger games which have 200+ people on them.

I bought a Pro back in june, already I appreciate that Playstation 4 Pro supports additional features in certain games, but I haven't noticed any difference in how fast you can navigate through the menus. I've even experienced significant lag in the menus sometimes, when the console has been left on for a while.
