How is this relevant? That list shows the teams that Cristiano and Messi have scored the most against. The total amount of games would have an impact on the total amount of goals, not on which teams they score the most against.

The table shows the 5 teams that each of these guys have scored the most against. The amount of times that either of them will have played Barca/Madrid/Sevilla/Atletico/Valencia by now is at least as large as the amount of times they have played Rayo or Levante given that these teams are (probably) not always in the 1st division. So you get all the times that they have played against all these spanish teams, count the goals, and then show against which teams they have scored the most.

Lets say Messi gets injured for 2 years and in this 2 years Ronaldo plays 100 more games against Getafe Espanyol Malaga Levante RayoValecano and lets say Barcelona.
1. Getafe - 80 goals
2. Espanyol - 68 goals
3. Malaga - 60 goals
4. Levante - 43 goals
5. Rayo - 40 goals
6. Barcelona - 30 goals

Barcelona still is not in his top 5 list, no matter how many more games he plays. If he wants Barcelona to be in top 5 he must score more against Barcelona not other 5 teams. This is what Messi does, he scores 3 against Madrid and 1 against Levante, so in the end Madrid shows up in his favotire victims list, but CR scores 3 against Levante and 1 against Barcelona

Stats like these are still largely pointless, in my opinion. From what I recall, Messi has scored more frequently against the big teams, and R. Madrid in particular, but there are so many variables that play into these comparisons, that stats like these won't show. The current AC Milan side doesn't quite compare to the one that had the likes of prime Kaka, for instance. One could stat pad against them, and 10 years from now, history will have forgotten that they were far from the peak of their powers when they conceded the most goals.

That's a different discussion. I didn't post that table. Its still valuable information though, they compete in the same league at the same time against the same teams. Both have extremely dominant teams too. Doesn't get better than that in order to make a comparison about preferred victims for goalscorers.

Well, I think they only show one side of the story. I think C. Ronaldo outperformed Messi against Atletico Madrid - when they were at the peak of their Powers - but the latter's been smashing them since they were 7th in the league, not competing in the CL, and Ronaldo was still making a name for himself at Man United. Messi also scored a hattrick against Real Madrid, back when their best player was the constantly injured, Arjen robben. Without complete context, stats sheets like these provide more banter than anything else, imo

Everyone knows that lately except these last 3 clasicos Ronaldo has been outperforming Messi in El Clasico. Messi even went as far as going in a scoreless streak against Real Madrid.

Ronaldo also had a tough team back when Barca were winning all the games, we didn't even beat Barca with Ronaldo even one time before Mourinho came...

So if these statistics were based of the latest El Clasicos they would be different. Ronaldo ages like wine tbh

Its really funny Messi scored against R.Madrid more than he scored against Levante or any other trash team. When i said Messi doesnt care about statpadding or golden shoe nobody believed me
