you never saw alonso. Macharano and hamann play then I take it.Firenze wrote:Unique wrote:park put in a shift but fletcher was a scrub.Firenze wrote:
step ya bait game up clown, Lingard isn't even good enough to start for your homeless 11, he steals game time from better players in the team, never compare this clown to GOAT players like Park and Fletcher
you can't be serious
Prime Fletcher is comfortably better than every Pool midfielder in the last 17 years besides Gerrard, hell he was probably a top 3 United midfielder in the last decade

Lingard isn't anywhere near the caliber player Park Ji Sung was. Don't get me wrong, Park wasn't some magician in the midfield, but the guy was serviceable and had three lungs. Was absolutely perfect for a SAF side and there was a reason he got as much play time as he did--he contributed, even if it wasn't in the most glamorous way.
Not only that, but he knew his role and he never tried playing above himself. Lingard and his dabbing can gtfo, he's barely good enough for Firenze's homeless XI.

Mate, it's over. Stop doing this to yourself. We had the easiest run of fixtures since that game against Pool at OT and could have climbed to as high as 2nd. Bottled it royally. Even if everyone around us loose points from now on we arent going to make it.
Thursday nights are the only things that matter right now. 0-0 draws at home and 1-1 draws on the road until the final should suffice I guess.
Nah. I fully admit Top 4 is a long shot and we only have ourselves to blame if we miss out. But Arsenal and Liverpool will drop more points and we're still in the mix with them. What do you want me to do? expect draws? we need to try to get a nice little win streak going.
It's nice to fantasize about the EL but there are 3/4 teams that would give us a tough time the way we're playing, Anderlecht will probably push us too.
if we drop more points this weekend and Pool/Arsenal don't then I 100% accept Top 4 is dead though. I think we can beat City and Arsenal mate. They aren't playing better than us.
Fair enough. But Arsenal dropping points is irrelevant at this point in time as they are more or less on the same ship as we are. And chance of Liv'pool not making is less comparatively. They have a very easy run, we on the other hand, have a death run. They will be fresher with very few matches where as we will be dead by the time April is over.
On top of that Mou is a coward and will never take initiative even in games which we have to win at all costs and will set up to not loose first. So, expecting more and more draws in the coming (big) games as well.
EL will be tough, true. and I am not saying we are going to win it or anything. But rather than pinning hopes on a competition thats more or less beyond our reach, this one offers a wee bit more hope I reckon.

Fine assist that was a straight forward pass
Watford are not putting enough pressure on the Spurs attackers. They play like the pitch is the last place they want to be on

Yeah was an easy assist but tbf he deserves a few of those as he creates great chances for his team every match and they waste most of them.
Son on 10 PL goals now. Kane has 15 without penalties playing 400 minutes more

If they can get Sonaldo to play well when Kane is on the pitch, I think Spurs have the best attack in the league, like it even more than Liverpool's.
Alli/Eriksen/Kane/Sonaldo is an unreal front 4
can't believe they crashed out against the likes of Neverkusen in the CL smh

Kane and Walker out in the summer, can't wait to give Spurs 200M combined for both of them, then finish 30 points below them next season too.

Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 12
was a massive Spurs fanboy back during the VDV seasons, he was my favorite player in the world at that time. It was alright to cheer them on because they weren't legit rivals, just trying to finish 4th once in a blue moon.
I felt bad for loving this Spurs team so much, when they aren't bottling it, Poch makes it hard to dislike them. They play great football but it just hit me the roles are now reversed so I shouldn't feel too bad to enjoy watching them play

VDV sad the guy was the laziest lad in the world.
You actually think you go for Kane? Isn't Lewy like the one guy in the world you wouldn't want to buy a player he doesn't want to sell from?

Spurs under Poch have been amazing. I hope they do something with this good period for the club right now. In Europe they are totally crap. They could have easily win EL in the previous season but they were so foolish to give up on it. Their best possibility is to win domestic trophies.

Yeah. They would fleece us for Kane. I think the club will want an established English talisman, especially with Rooney leaving and Ibra maybe going this summer. I hope we stay away personally. As proven a goalscorer as he's shown to be I think he would flop for us in our current state. Spurs is the perfect setup for him.

even this season was completely bizarre
in retrospect the Monaco games weren't a complete joke, Monaco looked good even back then, but the way Spurs approached the CL games was like it was an afterthought to the league.
I wonder if Spurs can keep hold of Poch in the next couple years, I think it's only a matter of time until a top 5 team comes calling for him
