Re: Destiny 2
Reminds me actually, my main gripe with Destiny (I got it when all but last DLC was out so DLC isn't my gripe) is how the ENTIRE game literally every single mission is 1-3 players max.
But you need 6 players for raids. That needs to stop. Missions should be 4 player at least
Brb convincing 5 friends to buy the game and level up on it and play it on the reg, but you, you and you aren't playing with me outside of 3 levels. C'est impossiblé ffs.

Re: Destiny 2
Yea agreed with that.
Also I think they need to improve on free roam a bit. Like have better random missions available. Hopefully a lot more types of MP modes too
And the idea behind iron banner is great but the rewards actually need to be worth it.

Re: Destiny 2
Gameplay in Destiny was absolutely amazing imo. It was such a great overall shooter. The PvE element was too lacking though.

Re: Destiny 2
Honestly i'm glad Versacci brought that up because i didn't get hyped about the original Destiny based on the same reason.
I had no plans to get a PS4 at a time until a mate bought one for me lol ( obviously i had to pay him back) i got Destiny with it and i enjoyed playthrough all the PVE stuff etc etc and thought it was a good game.
So i really didn't go into it thinking it was going to be some amazing next gen experience that some were sold on.
Maybe if i got in all the pre release hype i might feel differently about the game, but i genuinely don't hate it like some people online seem to.

Re: Destiny 2
A LOT of people got it because of that Destiny PS4 bundle lol.
Hype was unbelievable because it was bungie's first sony game and they spent 500m making the game ffs.
So much potential.

500m
10 year life cycle
'Destiny 2'
Watch Firenze shill the f out for this, meanwhile ME is shit because combat is repetitive. Brb when Destiny's mechanics are basically shoot and hide, meanwhile enemy model color variant #12 been going at it strong simce level 1.
Tfw you're an MMO and the world is empty
Tfw when missions are recycled until end game
Tfw end game is literally the end of the game
Tfw Tyrion Lannister booked it
Tfw when no one knows wtf the story is
Tfw spend 500m and you have 0 content

Re: Destiny 2
I still play Destiny 1 religiously.....though I'm on a hiatus right now while I sink time into Mass Effect Andromeda.
So much talk about the DLCs and how the PvE content rolled out, but honestly my biggest reason for continuing to play this game has been its amazing community. I've ran strikes, nightfalls, crucibles, raids and even just sparrow racing with some of the coolest guys around. I've helped fathers help their sons get their first raid completes (a daughter one time too), and so many have helped me get that sweet, sweet loot.
Yeah there were times when I just grinding the shit out of patrols, heroic strikes, random quests etc just to inch my LL, but with so many LFG groups around like the100 or r/DestinytheGame, I have honestly never had issues finding people to raid or strike with.
So yeah Destiny 2 is day 1 for me. I've already budgeted it out of my expenses for whenever it comes, especially the version with the most content. I'm a little sad to give up my vault in the stuff I have in it, but really excited to start over fresh again and re-immerse myself.

Re: Destiny 2
Now that you mention that Mclewis, about helping fathers and their sons/daughters on raids there's been some really great Destiny stories that have come out since it's release.

I feel like the type of game it is from a PVE standpoint helps that attitude, everyone is trying to achieve the same goal and want to help each other out.
Where as in a really competitive environment like CoD or BF where everyone is trying to beat each other it can breed quite a toxic environment.

Yeah this story was what I had in mind when writing my post, Mole. So sad, but really inspiring. Never had the honor of playing with Mike, but I knew of him and his story before he passed away and had hoped we'd cross paths, but it never happened. The outpouring of support was amazing. There's quite a few of those stories out there. Another one that I really liked is about the Seattle Police Department issuing open invites to join them for NFs. I actually took them up on that offer one time and it was a great night. Could hardly tell those guys were cops. Got 3 exotic drops from 3 runs too. So worth it.
