Re: All Star Referee Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 10
Karius, Lucas, Moreno, Coutinho, Sturridge, Origi
6 first team players and they still struggled hard
Coutinho looking like a jobber since his return, understandable and I hope it continues

Was a fake and transitional push IMO, now the part timers are returning he's going back to being a mid table jobber tbh.

Reserves. None of them are starters when all their players are available. May be you can make a case for Origi, but thats about it. I do agree tho it is a strong team considering the opposition they were up against.

Nah even Origi isn't a starter.
Firmino is the main starting forward. It's just we've been unfortunate with Mane and Coutinho situations the last few months.

Spurs' new stadium will have a 'Tunnel Club'.

This is a small insight into the chilling, dystopian future of football, everyone. pic.twitter.com/GaQqppnTtO
I have no idea who would pay money to see players line up in the tunnel but apparently there's a market for it. City are going to do it as well.

Klopp spamming dem long balls
At least we have Ibra to somewhat justify it, Liverpool hoofing to the likes of Midgetinho and Mane
bet half of our long balls came in the early part of the season when Fellaini was a starter tbh

Wouldn't it be annoying to the players themselves ?
Edit : noticed the glass barrier. But still distracting imo. Bit of a stupid idea.

City - Spurs and Stoke vs Utd..only tough fixtures this weekend for the top 6
Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have straightforward wins

speaking of getting sacked, if Klopp doesnt get CL this season he should be sacked. No Europe is such a huge advantage, it's now or never for that team.

Re: All Star Referee Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 10
depends on where he finishes and how the team are performing vs being unlucky IMO
give him another season if we marginally miss out
not a fan of sacking managers after 1 season unless they're utter melts like Moyes
Klopp will have had 2 seasons now, with no Europe to intefere..if he misses out on CL AGAIN then I'm not sure what else you can do besides sack him since CL has to be the aim for Pool, there must be no excuses if he misses out on CL with 3 of the 5 best players in the league in his starting 11

Re: All Star Referee Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 10
but you do talk about sacking Pep right
And Klopp have had only 1 pre season and one proper window because he had no time to evaluate his squad before last winter window ! So even though CL is must this season, we are still fighting for two cups in this season and let's see whether we win any of them.

Be real Firenze, there is no way Liverpool miss out on CL. They are too stacked:
Best CB (Matip), best winger (Mane), best player(Coutinho), future best player(Firmino), best young talent (Origi), best lb (Milner), best mid (Lallana), best coach (Klopp)
or something like that

Re: All Star Referee Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 10
you forgot best RB Clyne.
The problem is best player, best CM, best CB, and best winger all have missed a chunk of games for various reasons and they are our most important players. We unfortunately do not have the Best Luck like Chelsea.
It would be like if Barca had Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, and Busquets missing for various important periods during their treble seasons. They would probably not have a treble.

They maybe wouldn't have a trebble but they would more than easily qualify for CL

He should have played against United. This is absolutely downright disgraceful that they take 3 weeks checking a rule in the FIFA books.

It didnt come to anything ultimately. Klavan did his job pretty decently. Ibra was quiet for most of the game.

Any first team player missing for both teams can change the course of the game completely.
Matip is the best defender at the club by a country mile. A *bleep* reason / Indian government organization efficiency level scenario from FIFA makes it worse for us. He missed Sunderland, Southampton, City, United, Two games vs Plymouth and probably Swansea as well. This is not one game mate. This is downright unacceptable.
Sakho first in the EL final by that bullshit conducted by UEFA and now Matip.

The league's top scorers vs the team that's conceded the most.
So I'm predicting a 0-0 draw.

Swansea are playing out of Liverpool's press really well so far. Shame they're so lacking in attack.
