I think that Roma also have to pay a sell on clause to Olympicacos if they sell him, from memory.

So selling him doesn't make sense, especially to Inter when Chelsea would possibly still be interested.

It is not  a matter of 18-20 teams, the problem is more radicated

I 've already said it is going to be an extremely boring league, but got as responses that it's interesting ,it's just because of Inter and Milan...

Well , just looking at table

The 2016-17 Calcio Saga Part III - Page 29 C2znWQSWIAAWAJy

7 teams that fight for something vs 3 already relegated (since January! )  and  10 teams that will play for nothing. Friendly match since January for them
This means we see 2-3 serious matches every matchday , if we are lucky.

We need of structural reform . I continue to support the play out.
last 2 teams to relegate directly, while 15th vs 18th and 16th vs 17 to fight against them . ( the team who ranked better on table has the advantage of ' aggregate ' .. I mean, the away goals' rule don't exist, if 2 teams score the same number of goals it passes the team that had the best position on regular season )

If we 'd have my play out, every team ' d have targets now ! , even the last 2 because they ' d grap on to third do last place good for play out

Otherwise, we have this atrocious scenario.

Mad props to Gasperini who gave the full debut to two 17 year old players against Samp, and won!

Melegoni started in midfield, with Gagliardini sold and Kessie at the AFCON, he started next to Freuler.

Bastoni started as LCB.

Expires in 2019 actually.

Yup, you're correct. I'd be more confident in us selling abroad if we hadn't sold Pjanic to Juve though.

Pjanic had a release clause. I see Manolas being sold to Chelsea before Inter, I don't see him moving in the summer though.

@McLewis

Pellegrini is having quite the season. Is he supposed to move back to Roma in the summer or is that bridge burnt?

He would be a great option in AM/CM/RW for Roma imo. Gerson looks way too raw.

Saw a rerun of Bologna-Torino, and how has no one taken notice of Masina? I know Monaco were interested but then ditched. He's the closest thing to Abidal since Abidal, doesn't shirk his defensive duties, decent going forward, feel like he's flying under the radar

Juve was linked with Masina to replace Evra.

He has been seen as a possible left back for the NT for a couple of years now, probably will take Antonelli's place. He already represented the U21.

Yesterday it was fantastic to listen Ruud Gullit on Sky Sport.
Always great to listen stories Serie A 80's by who was GOAT in those years. Then he was the typical great player that got respect also from opponents.. Nothing to do with some scumbags of this football.. A positive character.
If I find it i will post it ( so learn the Italian language smoking)

Yeah that's been mooted. Of course we'd have to buy him back because we sold him like morons, but it would likely come at a discounted price. Bothers me that we have to buy back our own talent, but then again we never should've sold him to begin with. Was clearly one of the best talents coming out of the Primavera since Florenzi.

Agree on Gerson as well, we honestly should've told his Dad to STFU and loaned that kid out. He needs game time and muscle ASAP. He's clearly got skill though so eventually I think he might just come good. Not with us though, probably.

He was one of the few standouts from Sassuolo during their injury crisis and bad form. Now even more so since the team is back.

Since Roma basically oly has 4 midfielders he would be great to rest Nainggolan imo. Perfect mold for an offensive mezzala or a winger a la Bonaventura.

I really like the player, shows a lot of promise.

Should be great, I think I'll miss the first half or most of it.

Probable lineups

Napoli (4-3-3): Rafael; Strinic, Maksimovic, Albiol, Maggio; Hamsik, Diawara, Zielinski; Insigne, Mertens, Callejon

Fiore's I don't know except that Kalinic is back and that Bernardeschi and Chiesa are undroppable at the moment. Gonzalo Rodriguez is injured in defense.

Very interesting game at the San Paolo.

Fiore and Napoli cancelling each other out in the right ways. Still the two teams are too "top heavy" so chances happen back and forth.

Chiesa the best for Fiore this half (min 56). Napoli better overall with Insigne, Hamsik and Zielinski attack very well. Pavoletti is doing his thing but is tightly marked by the CBs.

Kalinic's play is great too, he took this transfer saga as motivation it seems. He looks like a player thoroughly enjoying his football. If he had gone to Napoli over the summer it would have been lethal.

Insigne hits the corner of the goal with a freekick and it bounces out. Pavoletti out for Mertens.

This goal... Laughing

Football made easy. The right long ball from Diawara, Insigne with a wonderful first touch throws off the defense and sets up Hamsik on the left side of the box, perfect cross to Callejon who heads it in.

1-0 Callejon

depressing to watch, abate is utterly disaster in this game, both chances came from his fault allowing asamoah to run so freely! they could have had 3-0 by now had cuadrado not spur that chance.

and bertolacci , all he has involved is one touch pass... thats his game, i cant believe we are that foolish to pay 20 million to get one touch in the game...

depressing to watch milan like this
