Montella taking a page out of Pep's book and playing with inside fullbacks. Against Torino he tucked the fullbacks in, after half time too.

Expecting a 90th minute tying goal from Lapadula.

Just read that this is Donnarumma's 50th appearance. Proud

By the time he retires he'll be considered the GOAT GK IMO.

Milan's bench options are depressing. Can't think of a better term to describe the emotional state I'd feel if my team had to rely on Niang and Bertolacci to save a game

That is assuming that he actually gets to the required level at all. Today's goals were anything but unsaveable.
Would be madness to leave Milan already. The kid is 17. People should relax with the GOAT stuff and Perez should keep it in his pants IMO. Next thing you know he'll be tearing up Eredivisie with Oedegaard.

Just got back home from the Milan v Napoli game, and other than having to sit on a step in the isle it was by far the most enjoyable game of any sport that I've been to in any country. I've read a lot about small crowds with no atmosphere at serie A games, but tonights game was absolutely nothing like that.

As far as the game itself went, although I'm far from an expert on Serie A, I felt that Milans best spell at the start of the second half came on the back of much more intense pressing and then looking to switch the ball early once they won it. I felt that that not only got Milan into wider areas where they looked more dangerous (they played very narrow in the first half), but it also really hindered Napolis high pressing game. Unfortunately by roughly the 60-65 minute mark it looked like Milan just ran out of gas.

Also, Milan really is a beautiful - although very confusing - city to be in

Milan spent a lot of energy at the end of the first half and at the beginning of the second half. They ran out of steam, but Napoli really risked by sitting back during those periods of Milan pressing.

Juve-Lazio is the early kick off in an hour.

So many unavailable players for us in defense and mid due to injury, suspension or the AFCON:

Alex Sandro, Benatia, Evra, Marchisio, Lemina, Sturaro

This would generally leave us with our "traditional" 4-3-1-2 with Dybala behind the 2 CFs, but Allegri apparently is saying *bleep* it!! and going all out attack.

Rumored line up:

Buffon; Asamoah, Chiellini, Bonucci, Lichtsteiner; Khedira, Pjanic; Mandzukic, Dybala, Cuadrado; Higuain

Thats right, the rumored has Khedira-Pjanic in the slowest, most physically frail double pivot ever fielded. Followed by (almost) all our forwards playing at once.

Lazio on the other hand has a pretty full team and is expected to go:

Marchetti; Patric, de Vrij, Wallace, Radu; Parolo, Biglia, Milinkovic; Lombardi, Immobile, Felipe Anderson

Note Lombardi starting, 21 yo forward that has been getting more and more game time. Keita Balde is at the AFCON so the kid gets his chance.

Khedira and Pjanić in a double pivot rofl

I Imagine that the plan will be counters by Bonucci/Pjanic sending long balls for Madnzukic/Cuadrado to chase down and set up Dybala and Higuain.

I hope it works Laughing

Great game so far. Solid DM performance from Khedira. Great LWB performance from Mandzukic. Overall one of the best games we've played this season i think.

Hope to see Pjaca in the 2nd half.

It funny that Mandzukic is playing some sort of LM, its even funnier that it actually works rofl

Everyone playing well. Licht and Cuadrado are owning their flank. Understandably, Asamoah and Mandzukic are not doing as much damage on their side but they are really solid.

Mandzukic did well in the assist, but other than that, we haven't seen him much, but that is expected TBH.

Agreed. Yesterday he was bad on both goals conceded, for example
