Netflix are probably gonna throw so much money at this show.

Even if it's bad, it would still be amazing to have another fantasy show once GoT ends next year.
Even bad fantasy is entertaining imo.

Wouldn't mind Taylor Kitsch as Geralt. Maybe Jim Caviezel also, or Anson Mount

I want it to be really good lol, but the fact CDPR are not involved at all makes me skeptical.

Although i feel like basing it on the books is a good move none the less, there's dozens of characters and storyline arcs there which the games don't really go into depth on.

Like Vilgefortz for example.

He has the same background as Tim Miller who directed Deadpool, hopefully it'll be just as successful

Didn't know that tbf, guess we'll see. Casting will be interesting tbh and give an idea how much money they are putting into it.

I was going completely off looks lol, although it's a hard character to play tbh in just plain old voice acting that goes further in actual live action.

I'm on the Kitsch train now though. Only one who's got the voice and the body. Bean, Mikkelsen and Viggo are all old men and Geralt is Batman physique.

I feel like the movie definitely would have flopped, for various reasons a TV series has a much better chance of succeeding.

100% agreed. It's much more fitting for a tv series. Assuming they can get the effects right and have the money for legit cgi monsters.

Can't wait. Hopefully they'll hire some talented people.

Movies turned to shows usually turn out good. ex: The Sopranos, Mr Robot, 13 Reasons Why

The director of the cinematics was supposed to make the movie. He's also directing at least one episode according to the article. One episode each season we get. So he's probably the one to set the tone and visual style for the entire show.

Hopefully we get another Tim Miller story of a VFX based director making the transition.

That Witcher 2 cinematic is absolutely incredible. So amazing. Watching that in live action would be amazing.

It just lends so much better to novel style storytelling is probably why I feel that way tbh.

Don't know anything about the Witcher and never played a single minute of any of the games... Yet I will still watch this show. I have too much faith in Netflix not to.
