Have you considered getting Yakuza 0, RG? I don't know if you'll like the beat em up combat system of the game, but something tells me that you'd love everything else about it. The combat actually gets more complex during the latter stages of the game. It's been out in Japan for a few years already, but was only recently released in the west. There's another Yakuza game (Yakuza 7) coming out next year, so now's the time to get familiar with the franchise. It's a prequel, so you don't need to have any prior knowledge about the series. I think you'd enjoy it.

Nue wasn't actually that hard, just had to be patient. Think it was the first boss I beat solo actually, lol. Took me 3-4 attempts though because I kept getting greedy.

Sloth is GOAT since it slows any enemy down for like 20-30 seconds, let's you go HAM on bosses and Yokai

I've been focusing on spears almost entirely but tbh getting bored of them

Nue was kinda hard but fun. The rest of the mission was pretty challenging since it felt like a maze.

Tachibana has to be the easiest boss of the game. Beat him in like 3 minutes without dying or even using most of my elixirs. I think the Kusarigama is just op vs "human" enemies.

After beating him I thought he was a joke boss and I checked it out and people say he is super hard and everyone seems to be fighting him with a spear. Literally easier than some of the bigger Yokai for me. With the Kusarigama all I had to do was use 1 attack (strong attack-high stance) which is really long range. That was it, Fire Talisman+attack and he went down in no time. You can even interrupt him before he charges at you by just poking him with the same attack.

EDIT: I see now now that people were talking about the duel in the sub mission afterwards. Way harder.

Yea man, I said it when it was shown that I will get it. Seen nothing but good reviews for it so I will get it after Nioh.

I actually beat him fairly easily (the duel sub mission) but I didn't fight him until I was like level 49 or something, higher than recommended, a few of the areas have had different duels like that, I didn't realize you had to do most sub missions to unlock them in the regions and I was skipping them, but now I'm doing every sub mission too (you kinda need to unless you want to be under lvl'd) starting to invest in magic more and more, the carnage and sloth buffs are too good, ruined a few tough bosses first attempt surprisingly

I need to look at the Guardian Spirits more, I have tons now but I'm still using the fire dog from the start because it seems so good

apparently the game has sold well, so I hope in the future installments we will get more diverse aesthetics for equipment and more enemy diversity too

I did all the sub mission in the first region and onto the second region now, just getting started there. I've tried like 3 of the guardian spirits for element matching against bosses. I have the wind bird, the earth bull, the water dragon, and the lighting tiger(?).

The giant centipede was cool. At first it *bleep* terrified me when it appeared and immediately charged at me biting

Omyo has completely broken the entire game for me. Literally beat every single boss my first attempt. Usually in sub 60 seconds. I'm farming duel boss mission for XP (40k+) and high level spear drops I ruin him in like 15 seconds lol.

Finished Nioh. Not gonna stick around and farm better loot in NG+ etc with how many GOAT games are releasing. COuld probably mop up the platinum in another 10-15 hours if I wanted.

Definitely a contender for GOTY already though, I'd say it's better than Dark Souls 2 & 3, RG. Stop sleeping on it, fantastic game man.

Also if I hadn't cheesed the game with magic buffs it's 5x harder than any of the Souls games. Definitely hyped for the future of this series.

That's high praise if it's better than DS2 and DS3.

in my top 5 games this gen; Witcher 3, Bloodborne, TLG, Nioh, Uncharted/Overwatch

if they ever nerf the Sloth talismans no idea how you will finish it ffs

I would probably still be 50% through the game otherwise, well probably not I'd have just summoned for every boss lol

Think I died 20+ times before I managed to beat him. I even had to set the difficulty to easy mode @Firenze It wasn't even satisfying since I was so damn angry when I finally managed it. I was rewarded with an equipment item which is super useful for Majima, but I have little use for it now that I've beaten the hardest enemy in the game

Did you get For Honor, Mole? Gonna start playing it, once I finish Yakuza 0. My colleagues and friends who bought it, all say it's really good. I'm a bit surprised it hasn't gotten more attention on here.

LOL. Mr. Shakedown is super easy compared to him. He doesn't appear until you've completed every sidequest for either character, and he acts differently depending on which character you're controlling. Felt like he had 20+ bars of health, and he's got attacks that can insta-kill you. The trick is to use different fighting styles and equipment, depending on how he fights. Had to use Majima's 4th battle style after he pulled out a knife and started acting like a hobo. I'm so glad I'm done with him. My OCD won't let me finish the game until I've beaten him as Kiryu now

It's really good IMO, although there are some negatives.

P2P in 2017 Micro Transactions effects 4 v 4 quite a lot, people paying for better gear etc etc. Although Gear doesn't count in 1 v 1 and 2 v 2 and it's all skill in those modes.

It can be quite a frustrating game at times, which means i'll probably go periods taking breaks from it so i don't go insane.

Game is very fun most of the time though, outside of those issues.

Might buy Nier Automata from the Japanese PSN store since I have a Japanese account on my console. The full game is in english and that way you can get it like 3 weeks early. Out now I think.

Just wonder if I can beat it before Horizon in 6 days

Gonna get Nier when i'm done with Mass Effect and Zelda lol.

By that time it will probably dropped in price as i don't expect it to sell that well.

Just read that it's £80 on the PSN store
