Who will advance to the quarter-finals?
UCL Last 16: Benfica vs Borussia Dortmund

Third tie of the round. If Benfica wants to have any chance to progress, they must win first leg and concede no more than 1 away goal. I don't think that will happen though. My prediction: Borussia Dortmund to go through

Dortmund seem to step it up a level in Europe but I am going to back a cheeky Benfica win tbh

Hard to call this game. League form would have Benfica winning here but Dortmund gets better in CL. I think draw.

Hopefully that Semedo kid wont impress in these 2 games. Lets keep that raw overflowing potential under wraps so that we can pull of a Bailly next summer with him. Would be a perfect backup for Valencia, this lad.

I expect Dortmund to come out at a 100mp/h, dont really know a lot about benfica, they dont show a lot of Portuguese football here. The other game seems more interesting.

Both teams going at 100mp/h. Auba just had a good chance. It is early, but it looks like there will be goals in this one.

Dortmund still playing at 100mp/h, Benfica have slowed down a bit. BVB with the better chances, Benica have not had any chances since around 20 mins. The way this game started it looked like it would be a high scoring affair. Now I can see Benfica sneaking a goal and winning this 1-0

Stats can be misleading or even useless at times, but there is no way that Dortmund have completed 85% of their passes (which is not that good to begin with). Their passing is like that of a team off teenage kids-hit and hope. Oh wait, they are a bunch of teenage kids.

Those missed chances will haunt BVB. Mitroglo gets lucky from a corner. Early goal to start the half, will see what the BVB youngsters are made of.

Reading the stat sheet of that match and seeing Benfica only had 2 shots all match but 60% ball possession? Interesting.

Then whatsthescore has it totally wrong then. Says Benfica had 60% possession. I knew something was incredibly odd with that. Checked ESPN and whoscored, they have exactly what you wrote.

That's strange. Maybe they had some technical error and it stopped counting or something.
Btw regarding the tie I think Dortmund have a good chance of turning this around. They were dominating away from home and clearly the better side. It won't be easy but they certainly can win by 2 goals at home.
