Great team. They will only get better with the young players they have.

They weren't too impressive.
They just employed simple tactics to stop Real Madrid.

i think dortmund was great in the first half .but in the 2nd half it looked to me that they suddenly stopped trying to attack.in fact they were almost hoofballing whenever they had the ball.

yes we did miss marcelo/coentrao and khedira (first half) dearly.. but credit to dortmund, they were great in both the legs.. surprised me , hopefully they falter and finish second though that looks unlikely..

Dortmund did great kudos to them, would have loved fr us to win but you gotta admire their efficiency
Reus' goal was handball but that doesn't take away the fact that offensively we should have done better their black-yellow wall Malaga would dream of having a wall like that

It's not all due to him that Dortmund have a sloppy central midfield with no serious backbone without Bender. It also doesn't help seeing as how Schieber has been pretty poor, and Lewandowski is definitely not as hungry as he was last year.
Blaszczykowski's injury was a huge loss for Dortmund as well - he was Dortmund's best player before his injury.
More matches for them as well, seeing as how they still have Champions League, Pokal, and Bundesliga matches left. It's not the same as last year.

Huh? They lost Sahin, who was replaced by Gündogan, and they lost Kagawa, who was replaced by the (better) Reus - that's not really a downward spiral.

They replaced Kagawa with Reus, and lost out with Sahin but got Gündogan. This goes with having great young players like Günter, Bittencourt, Leitner, etc.

------------Bender/Kehl------Sahin------------
Reus---------------Kagawa--------------Gotze
-----------------Lewandowski------------------
Any opponent will shat their pants against that.

Re: Borussia Dortmund appreciation thread
Yes but there is no longevity in that project. You have to recycle constantly, it is tedious for the management to perform and more tedious for BVB fans to see their talented boys leave.
Re: Borussia Dortmund appreciation thread
I doubt the exodus of players will continue, Reus going to Dortmund instead of Bayern was the first sign: Dortmund are set to consistently play Champions league football, and are in the process of proving that they belong in that competition.
This will remove the main appeal of leaving the club, which means fewer players will leave, and new signings will demand lower wages to sign on for Dortmund, considering they can expect to have a fair shot at going deep in the UCL there.
Expect them to keep anyone they want to keep and sign 2 or 3 good players in the next summer.

Visionary club, have been in love with their project for a while now... A CL contenders now and probably winners within four years; best fans in the world tbh.

Still dreaming of a future Gotze - Wilshere combo at Arsenal.
But yeah, not only are Dortmund a good team, but they're also an absolute joy to watch.

Re: Borussia Dortmund appreciation thread
Some of the Dortmund stars will leave if Dortmund miss out on the Champions League other than Lewandowski who'll probably leave regardless (not a big loss anyway).
Most of the 'stars' are on long-term contracts and even if they force Dortmund to sell they'll get some good money and replace like they did with Gündogan and Reus.

They did suck in the 2nd half though, I was trolling them in the chat for the entire 2nd 48 minutes.
