Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester United - The Derby that can't be unseen
Completely undeserved from United, there's a reason Mou has a negative record with Klopp, Liverpool should've won this and my best friend JamES would've been the Merseyside Champion

United was the better team but they should have been. The fact that they failed to win against a Pool team missing like four key players is really poor. Liverpool on the other hand did have the chance to take this game if they didn't act like cowards but Doc is right.
Overall I thought both were not really that great. Draw is fair.

Felt United were the better side overall.
But the winning streak ends as soon as they face a good team, bah gawd who would have thought

it started with spurs ffs
Liverpool were dire today, stole a point tbh.
I don't want to hear this narrative that Pool were without a couple of their best players, so were we.
Also, Firmino is a massive fraud

I think you may be confusing "better" overall with possession higher up the pitch. United certainly seemed to spend more time in and around Liverpool's third of the pitch. However, Liverpool actually had more shots on target (and blocked shots), while maintaining ~45% possession. Those aren't the stats of a team being dominated. That's the profile of a counter-attacking side.
It seems that injuries (and absences) forced LFC to change their game to a certain extent. Playing away from home also probably contributed to this tactic, as the onus was more on United to win at Old Trafford. In any case, the pressure wasn't as consistent or intense higher up the pitch. The triggers seemed different today, as Liverpool seemed content to allow United to keep the ball in certain areas.
All in all, it wasn't our best performance, but the defense was far better than recent matches. The fact that barring an offside passage of play (and an utter brain-fart by Milner during the resulting passage of play) we could have won that match without Coutinho (for the majority of the game), Matip, Clyne, and Mane is frankly remarkable. What really should be seen as a good point feels more like a loss given our recent form and other results around the league.

yeah these are the players who prevented them from having better performance (attacking wise) than Liverpool at their own stadium
that is getting now cheap from ManUtd supporters even for Banter level !

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester United - The Derby that can't be unseen
Not sure which is going to (negatively) affect us most:
1. Injury of Mane
2. Exhausting of Coutinho, Firmino
3. Emre-Wijnaldum midfield
4. Gomez-Matip-Lovren-Moreno
But hey, it's the derby. YNWA

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester United - The Derby that can't be unseen
I'm fully expecting Pool to turn up tomorrow. It depends how Mou approaches the game, if we approach it like we have other games this season, easy 3 pts..if he sets up negatively though, wouldn't be surprised to see Pool pick up 3 pts.
predicting a draw though 1-1 or 2-2, Mane's a huge miss for you but I expect Salah to ruin our wingbacks

first time ever I'm not feeling the pressure for this game. if we win cool we beat the enemy. if we lose its one step closer to klopp out the door.
