Liverpool owners to miss semi final derby in order to watch baseball
The American duo have jetted to Boston to see the Red Sox take on Tampa Bay Rays at Fenway Park and will miss the Merseyside derby at Wembley as a result.
What can you expect from Americans in football anyway...

First game of the season in the 100th year of their history.
Can't really blame 'em. They'll be at the final.

Red Sox' form is even worse than us.
And it's the first home game of the season...Not surprised.

Happens when you have owners who could care less about the clubs history.

I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to Liverpool's owners, but don't they hold shares in the Red Sox, too? It's only natural they'd choose to watch an important baseball game over an important football game.

They've owned the Red Sox for nearly a decade now.

Our owner Thomas Di Benedetto is also in Boston to watch the Sox and he will not be in Rome to watch us play Fiorentina.
They have closer ties to the Red Sox so this is natural honestly.

:lol!: @ People getting all hot and bothered over this.
It's not like Liverpool is the red-headed stepchild of the two. They've actually been pretty involved for owners (more so than just throwing money at players). However, they do have to respect the important milestones of their other club too.
In fact, they've done a wonderful job of maintaining Boston's history and tradition so far, and they look likely to continue that trend with Liverpool. Simmer down y'all.

in defense of the people here, when they missed important september games for the sox to be in england watching liverpool, red sox fans were pretty livid about it too.

If this turns into a Barca-Madrid thread I'm banning everyone (excluding myself) that has posted anything in relation to that.

Re: Liverpool owners to miss semi final derby in order to watch baseball
If I were rich I'd own several sports teams just for fun and moneymaking.
How cool would it be to have a direct say on everything, and go in Abramovich style: "you must sign Torres" :vagi:.
Now that I think of it, if I were rich I'd own a lot of things.
