Thoughts on Brangelina?
Re: Arsenal vs Chelsea (16/17)
Well, we'll be calling for his head soon enough. Life of an Arsenal fan

Excellent win. But I will still call for his head at the end of the season.
Can't speak for others who want him gone, but I took a long time to come to terms with the fact that this club will not win CL and PL with Wenger being stubborn at the helm. One excellent win is not going to magically change that and make me feel embarrassed.

On the game itself: LOVED IT!
Loved sticking it to all that Conte-will-walk-PL hype.
Loved sticking it to scumbag Costa.

Great win! Proud of Walcott's effort especially iim the first half, seemed like he was everywhere. All 3 of the goals were truly brilliant. Wonderful to get a clean sheet as well. I hope coquelin's injury isn't too serious, its a shame because he'd done very we'll this year and I've been a big fan of his since when loaned him out to lorient. Good thing is we have so much coverage in the midfield that we can survive our annual injury crisis in that area this year.

Anyone thinks one of the reason front man Sanchez works is because of Iwobi. Theo still stays wide mostly but Iwobi really likes to cut in and get involved in the middle and somehow it works. His link up play is clean and quick. His position and possesion are quite smart, he never gets in a way of Ozil, Santi ( unlike Ramsey & Ox). I guess this just further push Ox out of starting eleven.

Re: Arsenal vs Chelsea (16/17)
Iwobi has the physicality to slot upfront and link up well while holding the ball. That has definitely helped Sanchez roam about better without halting our play up top

Re: Arsenal vs Chelsea (16/17)
I think Walcott played a great part to make this formation work which I have not seen in previous games.
You know how Alexis likes to drop deeper or get wide leaving a big gap up front? That didn't happen yesterday because every time Alexis moved out of position, Walcott was there to cover that gap creating a 4-2-2-2 never leaving us without an option up front and that helped us a lot. I'm not sure if this was a one game thing or our players are finally adapting to Wenger's plans but I hope we can keep this up.
Seeing Özil starting a counter attack with two attacking players running in different directions was always what I envisioned when we first signed Özil which is why I never settled with Giroud being our main striker. If we can replicate these situations more often we will never have a goal scoring problem, no matter who we are playing.

Re: Arsenal vs Chelsea (16/17)
Reminds me of how shocking the post match analysis was on MOTD last night. I have stopped watching MOTD but last night's match was too good to not watch again
but after the match they spent 2 minutes talking about Sanchez and then moved on as fast as they could

Re: Arsenal vs Chelsea (16/17)
Yeah they basically praised Alexis, panned Chelsea for being rubbish then moved on
Alexis up top is working quite well right now because the spacing of our frontline is good. Iwobi is intelligent enough to not take up another player's space, while Walcott will stick to his side of the field. So Alexis can drop short and link-up play without things getting cluttered while he also has Walcott making runs in behind. Without these things you can't play with a false 9.
The pressing is important, too. Alexis always leads the press and now he has players backing him up instead of leaving him to press alone. And our transitions have been a lot better this season already and he'll always benefit from those.
I don't think we've seen the last of Giroud, though.

Re: Arsenal vs Chelsea (16/17)
Giroud will always have those moments in the season where he's scoring goals for fun and is worth having in the team, but we're just so much more mobile with someone else up there. We saw yesterday that he was just too slow when he came on and it slowed down the zip in our attacking play. When every single one of our offensive players has pace, that's when our game becomes really dangerous because the passes happen too fast for opponents to close us down.
I never expected Iwobi-Alexis-Walcott to be so successful but they are really complimenting each other perfectly right now. Who needs a striker anyway
