Thoughts on Brangelina?
Re: Arsenal vs Chelsea (16/17)
What a win and performance
Controlled the game throughout. Fluffed a few counters in the second half which is something to work on, but damage was done in the first half.
Shame Lucas didn't come in. Thought he would have really enjoyed himself out there.
Alexis was my MotM. Top performance from him, starting to make this false 9 role his own. With Iwobi and Walcott performing as they are as well I expect this front three will continue.

Great win, man of the match has to be Koscielny. He was superb against Costa. Lolo

Tbh Coquelin-Cazorla was immense too. You can understand why Arsene starts Coquelin.
But Xhaka is too good to bench as well. Then we have Ramsey coming back who is Arsene's son.
Let's see what he does

This was one satisfying win. Completely outplayed Chelsea. Some great goals and defending too.
Can't single out one player for MOTM as many deserved it.

So glad Arsene stuck with Walcott. When he is at his best he is really useful

He will now if Coquelin's injury is serious
Last two games Coquelin has made less runs forward and we've looked a ton better because of it. He's been picking his moments to press as well. Since we pressed against Hull and today he doesn't look as bad as he did.
Think we might see less pressing against Basel now because Xhaka and Cazorla aren't as mobile. Elneny could come in though.

While I'm not the biggest fan of Alexis as a lone striker, he and Wenger have certainly proved me wrong tonight. Seeing our striker actually run at players and just be generally mobile was a joy to see. I've missed that.

I think our midfield need someone who can press or man mark other opposition midfielders. I don't Arsene has no faith on Ozil or Santi doing this. I think El Neny will probably come in because he can press very well.

Arsenal's medical staff are worried about Francis Coquelin, concerns about an internal knee ligament having been potentially damaged. (RMC)

Good thing is we have back up in that department! Good replacements as well. Just need to find a good combo with Cazorla in there.
Brilliant performance, I must say. I'm so proud of the lads. We stuck in, played with discipline and professionalism, was on too Costa in flash whenever he got the ball, roughed him a bit as well and we took our chances splendidly.

Impressed to hear you roughed up Costa Only other defenders i remember doing that was Mangala and Kompany, probably the only positive they did as a partnership. Seemed tailor made for dealing with Costa actually.

Loved how we got into Costa's face as well. For someone who he is a master of the dark arts. He doesn't seem to enjoy it when people give him sum

Re: Arsenal vs Chelsea (16/17)
It wasn't roughing up as such, just excellent defending. Mustafi and Koscielny took turns in sticking tight to him depending on which side he was on and were strong without fouling him or giving him the opportunity to win free-kicks. Costa grew frustrated because he found it very difficult to get away from them and couldn't force them into errors. And both our defenders were very aggressive in winning the ball before it got to him, Mustafi especially.
Wenger and the players were stressing discilpine before the game and not getting dragged into Costa's games and we did that. Every time Costa got annoyed our players just walked away.
