What a shot from Bellerin.
Giroud warming up. Hope it's for Ox.

You can see that Perez isn't on the same wavelenght with the others and Ox is ruining everything in attack

Perez didn't look bad. But Walcott and Ox have been awful.
Sanchez and Giroud on. Game on.

Perez did alright for a first start. Nothing that made me roll my eyes in disgust.

the end product has been atrocious in the last few minutes, no point crossing with the giants Saints have in defence ffs

Re: Arsenal vs Southampton (16/17)
Got away with that big time.
Southampton missed two excellent chances (both from Long) and should have a had a free-kick before we went up the other end and won a dubious penalty.
Chamberlain failed to produce anything given the chance and constantly overhit his passes and crosses. Ozil's touch seemed to desert him entirely in that second half. Can't judge Lucas on this because he got nothing all game.
So problems with our positioning and a few underpar individual performances made for a poor game from us. That we got the three points was down to luck.

Iwobi should get back to starting at LW. Guy is so talented.

Re: Arsenal vs Southampton (16/17)
Southampton are a good team but the first 15 minutes were disgraceful in my opinion. It's unacceptable to start this slowly, we were so off the pace. Ox needs to get a grip, these sort of performances are unacceptable. The guy was even struggling to do the basics.
Santi was man of the match, he injected much needed pace in to our game and dragged us back into the game. He was always getting on the ball, moving it quickly, driving forward and looking to create something. So happy he scored, him and Koscielny stood up as the leaders we needed in this game. Him as the technical leader and Koscielny as the leader at the back who refuses anything less than 3 points

Re: Arsenal vs Southampton (16/17)
I noticed Mustafi lost a number of aerial duels in the second half, and a couple of times he came out and tried to win a header and failed.
But no real clanger on his debut is good enough.

It felt like he has always been at Arsenal for some reason. He will adapt quickly.

Re: Arsenal vs Southampton (16/17)
I take this win tbh, we usually shat bad hard after international break so 3 points is good. I like what I've seen so far from Mustafi except arieal duels which might be a problem against more hoof ball teams, Lucas can't tell much but Ox was really the worst out there.

Ox is done. that's 16m we can write off now, before writing off Chambers next summer too.
We should just stop killing careers of promising Soton youth.

Re: Arsenal vs Southampton (16/17)
There is still hope for Chambers, the problem with him was a lack of games and experience. The problem with Ox is he is a talented guy who doesn't know how to play football. The guy has spent here 6 years yet he plays football like an under 21 player. Way too impulsive, full of bad decisions. It would help if he is end product was decent but his one is almost none existent. Some of his crossing today
It's frustrating because while he has been here he has been surrounded by the likes Of Ozil, Santi,Rosicky, RVP and Sanchez. If you are a young attacking player then you can't get better mentors then these guys.

Re: Arsenal vs Southampton (16/17)
It is damning, but I guess Perez would need some time to integrate?
But to have that in a PL game is inexcusable for a manager.
