The couple games he's been completely different level to any other defender. Hardly makes mistakes, surprises with his positioning and aggressiveness, good passing, beats players and can "foul" without fouling.

Agreeing with this on bforum:
Digne - Is going to be a terrific signing for us. He rarely gives the ball away, and his positional sense is quite good.
Gomes - Loved how he looked for Messi frequently, and his in-behind through balls were nice! I think he'll love playing with Neymar.
Umtiti - Is not far from being a starter for me. No problems with him being beside Pique with Mascherano out.

such a great game from him. good positioning, good passing, lots of interaction with messi. very good game. i can see messi shifting more to the midfield and left-side of the field with him and iniesta on that side, instead of his right-winger role. very good deal and a solid player, we can build on this

Gomes felt in that midfield like at home And it's just the beginning

Didnt have time to watch the games, but 5-0 overall over Sevilla, couldnt be happier

The new players looking good and great to see Turan doing well finally. This feels a very different Barca, and Sevilla with the new manager, etc., so wont read too much into it still, but so far so good.

The battle with Real will be interesting as usual, yea but we all know how easy and lucky Real got in their CL win last season, that kinda luck wont happen twice. Btw, that must have been the N'th number of times that Real have fluked the CL trophy with us beating them to the league, just goes to show how hollow that is again

How do you know that the new players are looking good if you didn't watch the game

From what I can gather from highlights, reviews, comments, etc., cant be perfect without watching the game I know, but mainly positives so far Although as mentioned wont read too much into it until the league starts.
