Only watching the Liverpool v Chelsea game but he should switch roles with Matic imo.

He should have that "box-to-box" role (like he did at Leicester) and let Matic be the anchor. Give Kante the freedom and he'll show his authority on the pitch.

He struggled against us, especially as he was closely closed down / pressed as soon as he was on the ball, he had no time to prove what he could do on the ball either. Poor tactical decision to play him as the deepest man in midfield. Was this a one off decision or has it happened regular this season?

No Conte has played him there all season.

I personally think they should switch too, but it's getting to the point here Matic is only decent in every 3rd game, so he could be sold or dropped before long, if he keeps this up.

Kante's issue is more Ivanovic and Matic being poor around him than anything else...  he played the defensive B2B (and even DM) role for both Leicester and France.  Very impressive too.  But he can't do his job alone.

He is prone to making a mistake here and there... but he erases so many mistakes for others that you would hope they'd cover him once in a while too lol. Still, he does get caught at times.

I can't change your username Admins only.

Kante has been immense, forming a great partnership with Matic, both of whom are playing B2B. This is a change because Kante was playing as a pure DM before October. Then again, pretty much everyone is playing out their skins at present.

As for myself, not a lot. Busy with Uni as always. I believe the thread is still there, but no one posts in it anymore.
