N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
Way overdue. What a *bleep* player. Most important Leicester player by a mile. Imo main reason why they are top of the table, not Mahrez and Vardy, though of course their contribution has helped.

He's surprisingly agile and quick with the ball, my expectations before was that he's your run off the mill DM

Reminds me more of Matuidi than Lass if we are not looking at the size. Lass technically way more accomplished. Good player

He looked like crap as soon as we put some pressure on him mind
As great as he looked i'm not particularly convinced he would excell for a top team who dominates possession.

Re: N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
Who said that he will go to a top team that dominates possession ?
he might go to a top team that plays on the counter. he would be massive in atletico's midfield for example. but only bayern and barca are top teams, they dominate possession et al

Mole says after seeing Kante for one game.
This guy is legit, we'll see if Leicester can hold onto him.

You know damn well i'm more likely to be right than this new Makelele and New Essien crap though.
Dunno it just struck me as someone who excells for a team which plays on the counter and is very back to front.

One season wonder. Even Matic looked good for a season, and he's awful now.
Lets see if he can do it on a cold Tuesday night in Russia. Matic couldnt.

Re: N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
Great for Leicester. Massive for them.
I also have concerns about his ability to play on a bigger team who don't regularly concede 70% of the ball to the opponents. He may very well be able to, but I'm just not sure.

Because sissoko outmuscled him a couple times?
You do realize kante is much smaller and those things will happen in a game? Again, start watching games instead of watching 20 minutes and flipping the channel

Re: N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
Kante has looked good on the ball for a DM. I don't know is he good enough for a CM pivot for a big team, but as a DM, certainly. Let's put it this way that I don't think he's any worse on the ball than Coquelin, Schneiderlin, Fernando or Matic.

Re: N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
"watch more games" so bitter lmao.
Ironic thing is the same people who say watch more games are the same people acting like they watch all 38 games in full of every relevant team.
GTFOH, I don't need to watch very much to analyse a player tbh. Been watching this sport longer than some of you have been alive and it doesn't take very long for me to understand what a player can and can't do.
Also just so you know it wasn't just Sissoko it was multiple players, I actually like him tbh and for most of the game he was very impressive but tbh my 2nd post in this thread is how I feel about him.

Re: N'Golo Kanté Appreciation
I don't think I'm kneejerking much if I say he is the new makelele. Makelele was a monster recovering balls and was good on the ball. Kante is also great at recovering balls and quite a good passer and especially quite good at keeping the ball and dribling.
He is definitely much better than Lassana Diarra, not because he is better tactically or physically, but simply because he has more brains and doesn't believe himself to be Maradona. He knows his limits and keeps it simple. That's what makes him similar to Makelele too.

I agree he's more B2B than a DM. He manages to run 12 kms every game i've been noticing.
Certainly up there alongside Vardy and Mahrez, Probably the reason why Leicester are so solid.

Kante more important than Mahrez.
But yeah he's great. He's no Joe Allen but he's putting in some good performances for Leicester.

Like I said; you didn't really see the game
Mahrez, Kante, and to an extent Albrighton were being man marked. This is why drinkwater and vardy had such a poor game imo. They had all the space in the world and they couldn't make a difference. But it happens.

Would walk into any team in the world at the moment. He is absolutely everywhere during games winning the ball back and starting counter attacks unleashing Vardy and Mahrez. Running, tackling, passing, good on the ball, mutant stamina.
