Re: The Three Lions
From Allardyce's autobiography:
"I was interviewed for the England job in 2006 when Steve McClaren got it. I didn't begrudge him the job, but I was never contacted after the interview. In future, I won't bother. A buerocratic organisation, summed up by three Cs: Cluesless, Classless, *bleep*. Even the girl on reception was up herself."
If Hodgson was that eccentric grandfather type then Allardyce is the dodgy uncle.

But imagine that lovely spread Fat Sam would be able to afford in Barbados after he gets fired. I say it is a win-win for all involved.

I guess by ALL you mean only Barbados and Fat Sam and not including England in the equation.Doc wrote:sportsczy wrote:Guarantees several more years of complete irrelevancy....

Re: The Three Lions
Fabio Borini expects Sunderland players to enjoy their football more this season now that David Moyes has taken over from Sam Allardyce.
"He is more precise in what he wants, he is more tactical, more prepared in how the opponents will play and we adapt on how they play so he is really precise on the work," Borini said.
so borini thinks moyes is better than fat sam. god help us

Re: The Three Lions
So Allardyce is thinking about recalling Terry. And dropping Rashford.
Interesting team selection

Re: The Three Lions
I wouldn't say it's a terrible move to have Terry as a backup who can help Stones and Smalling but Terry around WC18 will be retired from football or will be in MLS so long term it doesn't help. Short term? why not

Re: The Three Lions
whats the point. we will smash the shit group like always with or without terry then when the real thing starts terry will be gone and we wont have a settled CB pair to go into the world cup. fat sam is a joke of a manager tbh.RealGunner wrote:I wouldn't say it's a terrible move to have Terry as a backup who can help Stones and Smalling but Terry around WC18 will be retired from football or will be in MLS so long term it doesn't help. Re: The Three Lions
How is Terry excaclty going to '' help '' the youngers CB ? If he plays, he's going to steal palying time from them which is not helpful and if he doens't play a lot well, no need to call him to keep him on the bench.

Re: The Three Lions
I wouldn't be shocked if there are call ups for Danny Drinkwater and Mark Noble. Other than that, don't think it'll be that different to the Euros squad.

Re: The Three Lions
Allerdyce tried to call up Steven N'Zonzi for England, but his 1 France U21 cap prevented it:
