Yea it looks that way at least for now. Mata delivered yesterday and Lingard who played in that position in the CS also played well and scored a nice goal. So unless Whooney's tossed out of the team I cant see him starting in the league (might start in EL and cups).

Thats the gripe I had with this transfer. I know he played right wing last season for BVB and everything. But he looks more like a central player for me from the preseason games. Lingard when he return might start ahead of both Mata and Mkhi actually cos he has got more pace and decent workrate.

Too early to say. But tbh not ruling out the possibility. Dont think Mata is ahead of him on RW. Mourinho seems to be playing the Spaniard right now to prove his criticisms wrong or something. Long term and in important games I cant see Mata in the side.

Mkhi when he was brought, the path was clear for him on the right side. Either that or Mou didnt know about Lingard then. Lingard an inferior player to Mkhi has filled the role better until now and has played well so far this season. But because its Lingard lol we never know for sure. Mkhi might just as well force his way in in September.

Ideally this shit shouldnt even be happening. An undeserving scrub player is yet again undroppable and has been like that for a while now, our captain. Where as clearly better players are forced to sit out despite the whole world barring the club and the English press know he wont even get into a top 6 side right now.
