I decided I will watch the videos for GoW and GoW 2 and play GoW 3 Remastered on PS4. By the time I'm done with those I'm pretty sure the new one will go on sale (about a year's time)

Pretty sure that is unprecedented.

Not unprecedented but it's unusual, for example it's currently at an average review of 94 out of 100.

That's the highest for a PS4 exclusive, before that Persona 5 is the highest with 93.

TLOU?

Ps3 game so I didn't count it but I think TLOU was higher yeah.

From recent times only TLOU, Uncharted 2 and LBP2 come to mind.

Although usually the overall rating goes a bit down after the release, I don't think this will be the case with GoW as they gave away copies to plenty reviewers pre-release as opposed to others who only let a select few have it.

The fact that this game has scored higher than Horizon makes me think...this game is a must-play.

That's usually because most games which are less established than GOW don't get the reviews out fast enough.

There's already 80 reviews out for this so I don't expect a lot more to come through tbh, it's about what we are going to see.

I'm going to use Open Critic because they don't do the BS weighted reviews which meracritic do.

That's pretty much the top end as far as reviewed ps4 games which weren't remakes etc etc.

Also I genuinely believe this but I think reviewers have been less 10 happy this gen outside of Mario and Zelda. Witcher 3 has the most GOTY awards of all time and that's a 92, Bloodborne is considered like an all time great by anyone who has played it and tbh etc etc.

Pretty convinced that if these games came out in the ps3 gen they would have scored higher as reviewers were more ridiculous.

Little Big Planet has a 96 ffs, don't get me wrong I think this is a good thing but it's something to realise that I think the media are more critical now tbh.

Looks great.

Will enjoy it when I play it in two-three years from now.

Reading the review makes me want to get a PS4 on loan, which i'll probably do. GOW Ascension had left me on my hunger.

The joke is in avoiding spoilers for the two to three years it takes for this game to get a turn in my list.

I heard the Puzzles weren't that frustrating though.

Easy Allies review is pretty good, saw some others which said no spoilers and then went and showed an area I hadn't seen and a cut scene I hadn't within the first 30 seconds.

Turned it off immediately after and now refuse to watch another review.

Although it saddens me that people forget Yakuza 0 exists when it's my 2nd favourite of games in the gif.

I think I'm the only one who said that. The game isn't even out yet, but I wouldn't mind being wrong in this case.

Game not being out yet is pretty irrelevant as the Review Embargo was yesterday, pretty much all reviews were ready for then.

Only ones we are waiting for are like old school Magazines stuff.

I will admit that's unusual though as most games don't allow reviews so early, they absolutely thought that it would increase hype for pre orders though.

That's definitely a sign of confidence in their product Looks like it's going to be another shitty year for the fabled Xbox exclusives.
