I'm more hyped for it now than Yakuza tbh, although i'm going to play them both and probably start Yakuza before seeing as it comes out 3 days earlier.

They are great games but this game plays differently to those( which isn't surprising considering he uses an axe here compared to blades in the original trilogy) so it's not like you need to to enjoy it.

I'm not that hyped for Yakuza 6, to be honest. Based on what I've read about it, it's likely the worst iteration to date, story, quest, and character- wise. I do miss the mini-games and general ridiculousness of the franchise, though.

I meant more in terms of story/progression though. I know people said I didn't need to play Witcher/Witcher II to enjoy Witcher III but I think having played them made me appreciate a lot of characters and stories in W3 much more. I wonder if the same is true with GoW.

I'm sure playing the main 3 will make you appreciate it more and the character is the same and there are likely mids and references.

They are great games. Can't go wrong in playing them.

That said since this is a soft reboot I expect it to be fully understandable by itself.

Unless they are hiding something the only character from them to this is Kratos.

I mean if you want to play them I think you should but I doubt you'll need to enjoy this game. There's probably videos online which cover Kratos story to this point.

With that said they are genuinely great games which people should play if they have the time.

60 dollars is less than that no? Yeah England isn't that bad for prices usually but most of the time you can find a new game for 40 if you look hard enough.

Not being able to find it yet for GOW so I just gave up and paid the extra 5-6 quid.

In the US its impossible to find a new game under 60$ which is ~45 pounds.

In europe its worse. Any new game (excluding remasters or collections) will start at 60 euros at least, some like GoW, RDR, etc. 70 euros.

Yeah I'm aware in Europe, when I go to Spain I'm often shocked how ridiculous the prices are.

Pretty sure I regularly see games between 70 and 80 euros ffs.

yeah I was eating good off of that the first couple years on PS4. Games early, digital and cheaper than the disc version? was great. and how it should be anyway.

I decided I will watch the videos for GoW and GoW 2 and play GoW 3 Remastered on PS4. By the time I'm done with those I'm pretty sure the new one will go on sale (about a year's time) Very Happy
