Thinking we could try a 3-4-3 diamond.

Use a human CB who moves to DM when we have the ball. So we're still defending with 4.

Played a few games of FIFA 15 with a buddy of mine, after having spent pretty much all of yesterday playing FIFA 17. Why is it that FIFA 16 and 17 feel so slow and sluggish in comparison? Really, say what you want about FIFA 15, but it's obvious how much smoother it plays out compared to the more recent games. Button response is faster, the gameplay is faster, and it's just a smoother and more fast paced experience. There are some smaller things that are hardly worth mentioning, that have been improved since FIFA 15, but in my opinion, this new emphasis on "realism" hasn't done the franchise any favors at all. Also, I don't know if anyone else have noticed, but the FPS in FIFA 17 seems to be lower than in previous iterations in the series. I suppose it's a result of the hardly noticeable graphical upgrade. All in all, it's a generic FIFA game. It's pretty much FIFA 16 with story mode and a few minor tweaks to it's gameplay. In other words - exactly what everyone was expecting Smile

Once PES has clubs, I'll be done with FIFA. It's the only thing FIFA have going over PES currently. Licenses are easy to download, master league is there for career mode, myclub = UT etc etc. Biggest difference is the gameplay. PES' gameplay is a 100x more realistic.

Same as I have always said it.

Was about to order FIFA yesterday but didn't somehow. Today I am glad I didn't as I have 0 motivation to play it anytime soon.

Maybe in few months.

Gonna buy Fifa 17 for the sake of it, like in late oct.-nov. I'm still with the PS3 so i don't expect any improvements.

I'll probably play a season or two in my Juve career, get tired of it, play some Fut, break a controller, and not play for months. Same shit different year, really. The Journey doesn't kick me at all... and the new FUT features are awful as well.

I am not sure about your country but they are actually selling PS4 really cheap atm (if you read the general games thread). Like £150 deals going with PS4 + FIFA17. See if that fits your budget at all.

150 pounds is like 300 CAD. I don't think it's worth the investment for me: besides inFamous 3 and Fifa, i'm not so excited by the new-gen games. However, when DW9 comes out then i'm buying the Play 4 for sure.

My problem is i have severe anger management issues with Fifa and i'm afraid i'll trash a controller or even the console itself. Threw my PS3 out in the snow last February, punched walls, and the list goes on...

Thank god i have a generous friend who gave me his own PS3 after that.

ES can you try gifting me the Aubameyang loan for UT if you have the coins hmm

IDK if gifting is disabled, tried gifting some goal celebration to someone earlier and it gave some error message

This for example, is BS

http://www.futhead.com/17/players/50214/paul-pogba/

The card evolves depending on how Pogba is performing. Kinda kills the idea of FUT, they shall just end the script and everyone would be happy.

FIFA 15 was a good game, but I thought it was too easy to play it really fast and score tons of through-ball goals. I'm not buying FIFA 17 (coz it feels too stupid to spend money on what is basically the same game as FIFA 16), but I prefer 16 to 15 because the 16 is slower paced.

I get what you're saying, but if their intention was to make the game more slow-paced and realistic, then I think they went about it the wrong way. For example, it takes an eternity to turn around 360 degrees in FIFA 17. Why? Because the frame rate is lower than in previous installments, and the new mechanic that's supposed to give you the illusion that the ball isn't glued to your feet, makes turning around in a full circle a time investment. Poor programming and a more CPU intensive game don't improve or make a game realistic, in my opinion. If it still floats your boat, then that's all good.

^ Everything I've heard of the Journey does sound cringe af. It's their first go at it, though, maybe it'll become better in the future. It's the same as Player Career Mode in FIFA 16, right? Is it as boring to play as player career in 16? I tried the player career in 16 and had to stop after a couple of seasons, it was soooooooooo boring. Most games ended 0 - 0 or 1 - 0, because the AI was cancelling each other out and, playing LM, it was too difficult at world class to do all the attacking myself. It was also like my teammates were always waiting for me to come get the ball and take responsibility. They would just keep possession (and eventually lose it) if wasn't getting on the ball all the time, everywhere on the pitch. I remember in my 2nd season my team had conceded 2 goals in 14 games. Ugh, never again.
