Re: FIFA 17
^ Everything I've heard of the Journey does sound cringe af. It's their first go at it, though, maybe it'll become better in the future. It's the same as Player Career Mode in FIFA 16, right? Is it as boring to play as player career in 16? I tried the player career in 16 and had to stop after a couple of seasons, it was soooooooooo boring. Most games ended 0 - 0 or 1 - 0, because the AI was cancelling each other out and, playing LM, it was too difficult at world class to do all the attacking myself. It was also like my teammates were always waiting for me to come get the ball and take responsibility. They would just keep possession (and eventually lose it) if wasn't getting on the ball all the time, everywhere on the pitch. I remember in my 2nd season my team had conceded 2 goals in 14 games. Ugh, never again.

Actually enjoying this fifa, the old FIFAs were too goal happy, the last FIFA was just stupid because no son'bitch could make a simple through ball half the time with 90 passing and vision.

It's basically the "Be a pro" mode, but with some background story for the pro, a few rpg elements and some Ultimate Team rewards that are unlocked as you play through it. The actual story only lasts through about a full season, so I'm guessing the rest of the story will either be released later as DLC (or free updates? Probably not), or it will drag out over one or several more games.
After having spent several tens of hours playing FIFA 17 and PES 2017, I've reached the conclusion that the perfect football game would have the presentation, game modes and everything outside the pitch from FIFA 17, and the actual gameplay from Pro Evolution 2017.
Personally, my main gripe with FIFA 17 is that the gameplay doesn't feel very smooth at all. I think they should go for a balance between the older, Arcade-y games and the newer ones - that in all honesty are sorry attempts at looking and feeling realistic - considering their less resourceful rivals are doing it better.

Re: FIFA 17
There's no reason for them to improve their gameplay Thimmy really, they know they have everyones purchase regardless
It's sad but that's what it is, if you like the way it plays then that's fair enough but for those who don't they know they have you too lol.
I don't play it because i hate how it plays, i get bored senseless before half time of my first game
Only time i'm ok with it is when i played Clubs.

They'll probably just continue they story in the next game. That way, it can compensate for a lack of new features and game modes. I can already picture FIFA 18 being advertised as the continuation of the "amazing" story mode in FIFA 17 + all new, fantastic features such as driven headers that can only be performed by players with ponytails, which adds an entirely new dimension to the extraordinary, women's world cup mode. Preorder bonus includes the "be a female referee story mode" which will be concluded in FIFA 22.

Re: FIFA 17
Is their any way to switch to the old camera angles? Feels weird taking corners without knowing precisely where the ball's going to go.
And also having to press L3 everytime just to take free kicks.

I've barely touched the actual game, been abusing these new squad builder challenges in UT that can yield insane profit and are exploitable (been smashing them on all 3 of my PSN accounts lmao) insanely addictive

Correction: 15-20 hours, according to this review. I completed it in two sessions. I wonder if I've missed something, because it definitely felt more like 8-10 hours than 15-20, and I can't honestly say that it was so fun that I lost track of the time

Not surprised at all though lol.
There are more people jumping from PES to FIFA than the other way around because of online and peer pressure.

Re: FIFA 17
I'm not shocked in the slightest, also where did he get the idea that people thought PES would outsell fifa lol?
Nobody thinks that, maybe they thought it would be considered a better game but sell better? Not a chance.
Me and RG spoke about this before but FIFA is a phenomenon at this point and it's backed up by celebrities lol. The day for PES to be deemed competitive in sales has long gone, the best they can do is just to focus on making the better game.
