He's so limited it's unreal. Bring him on when a game is open, leave him on his ass on the bench otherwise. Even if he can score with starts he's practically non existent aside from that so it's probably not worth it.

Agreed with Jay, didn't know Vardy was still playing the second half until Jay mentioned it in the 86th minute. I didn't hear his name once, nor see him touch the ball. Arsenal dodging a bullet

Said it already in Hans's new Kane thread that both him and Vardy will struggle against these parked busses. England have faced nothing but deep-defending teams so far. Those two need a bit of space and are pure goalscorers. Unlike Sturridge who can do a bit of everything. Btw, I thought Hodgson just wanted to rest him, no way he would have subbed Sturridge off if England had to win the game. Carroll would have been an awesome target man against these teams, but instead Roy took Rashford to play out wide. Go figure.

Honestly after this season I was kind of a bit worried about Sturridge's quality when it came to English forwards given how great of seasons both Kane and Vardy had. But watching these 3 games with all 3 of them, lol there's not a single doubt in my mind he's better than those two.

Last 2 seasons injuries have absolutely wrecked the poor guy.
Even 13/14 he was plagues by injuries but at least he was able to show his quality a bit.

Hoping he finally has an injury free season for us for once in his life.
