Re: GAME OF THRONES - PART 7 - *NO BOOK TALK - READ THE RULES*
I find it strange that people are so de-hyped after they were going crazy after the last two episodes last year. I'm guessing everyone saw the leaks and don't like what they saw.

I didn't see the leaks and please don't mention them tyvm
The last 2 episodes were great, but the rest of the season was awful, i was even ranting before the big battle
D&D are just awful, the books carried them

I hope no one spoils the leaks, I didn't read them either. Its never gonna compare with watching the actual show.

The first 5 episodes were great tbh. Hold The Door is up there as one of the best eps of the series. It did get kinda bad during the middle with the ridiculous Arya vs Waif battle.

I really enjoyed everything to do with Bran since I was waiting for that for so long. I liked the season a lot, one of the best for me. My favorite is probably season 4 though. (the one with Oberyn).

Calling season 6 awful bar the last 2 episodes just reeks of spoilt fans. What else do you want? Christ.

Re: GAME OF THRONES - PART 7 - *NO BOOK TALK - READ THE RULES*
There are genuine gripes with the writing that some have pointed out but others hanging their hats on unrealistic fallacies in a fantasy show with dragons and undead, magical beings are just lolworthy.
Btw, Jon having plot armor was already explained right before the battle when Melisandre told him the Lord of Light had plans for him and probably wouldn't let him get merked the next day after bringing him back so recently.

Season 6 is my favourite season of all GoT, apart from the first episode and 8th every episode was atleast a 9/10.

*bleep* the music. How is it relevant to GOT?
This is my biggest pet peeve. Something becoming (too) mainstream.
Dude, GOT has been mainstream since day 1.
Also, if it's mainstream is cause it's very good and enjoyable.

Re: GAME OF THRONES - PART 7 - *NO BOOK TALK - READ THE RULES*
- Spoiler:
1. Arya's battle with the waif was bad, I agree, but the rest of his story was kind of cool. We thought she was going one way, but then she went the other. Kinda like Daenerys (go south to go north, etc.).
2. He doesn't forget, he didn't know until he found the wood elk.
3. Deus ex machina, it happens to every single show.
4. LF's teleportation device doesn't exist and time is not lineal in GOT. They just don't show people moving around forever for obvious reasons (it would get boring).
5. Sandsnakes suck, and it is a pity that they killed Areo and Doran Martell, but if they were being (stupidily) trusted, it's easy to strike in surprise and kill em.
6. Ramsay didn't have plot armor, he knew Osha would try to kill him. Jon has, he is the main character obs he'll have it.
7. They also kill important characters easily.
So in the end, IMO there are not that many plotholes and bad writing. It's a matter of opinion and taste, and in general it's an exceptional show.

GRRM in the writing team apparently
The Dance of Dragons would be interesting (because dragons and lots of power struggle/politics) but my favourite prequel would be adapting A Knight of Seven Kingdoms, but with a faster pace (1 season = 2 books, expanding it until Summerhall/Rhaegar's birth).

How much budget will they have to animate the dragons?
Got to have Blackfyre 1st rebellion.

Every year CGI gets cheaper. By the time that spinoff show rolls around it'll be even cheaper to animate the dragons than it's been throughout the life span of the main show.

A series on Tywin destroying the Castameres is what I want. You can even call it The Rains Of Castamere, that would be a huge selling point.

You'd imagine any new show they do would have "Game of Thrones" tagged to the title e.g. Game of Thrones: The Rains of Castamere
