Not sure why anyone would criticize Golden State.

They had two options:
1) Sign KD
2) Max Harrison Barnes

They signed a top FA, is it overkill? Maybe, but it's also exciting. God I can only imagine the ticket sales for the Golden State game when they're in Toronto Laughing

Criticizing KD I can understand, but to be honest regardless of any decision he made he was going to be criticized.

One ball for Green-Klay-Curry-Durant. The firt challenge will be to keep the team's cohesion. Durant is no king no more there. They need a 5 now willing to accept less money than he should.

Our 4th quarter line up is going to be the important line up mostly which is gonna have Dray at 5 and KD at 4 and Iggy playing.

So the starting center and his 15 minutes won't really matter much offensively.

As far as shot distribution there won't be too much problem. Steph and Klay are not ball dominant. They get their shots in the flow of the offense unlike OKC where it was your turn, my turn. Barnes took 10 shot attempts per game. KD at OKC has 19. He'll get all of Barnes shots as well his own. A lot of our bench took bad shots last year like Speights, Iggy and certain that Durant and Curry will take turns resting so the other gets his shots spurts as well.

Defensively is the bigger challenge. KD is better perimeter defender than HB but what made our small line up so effective is that Barnes was able to pound it inside and guard other big men and not get backed down easy. Durant is a bit of a downgrade on the defensive paint to Barnes. But unlike Barnes, Durant is a better rim protector.

And the fact that we're losing one of the best rim protectors in Bogut will definitely hurt. I doubt whoever we get to start at the 5 will be as good as Bogut defensively or passing wise.

Can't remember anything like this.

The cba really f'ed the league. The sudden rise in cap made this possible and it's everything the NBA's financial system has built up to prevent. Having 5 all-stars on the same team is ridiculous.

Also Durant's ring won't mean anything in the legacy conversations. Doubt anyone respects him enough anymore.

Good for Warriors fans though.

Bogut on an expiring 11m is a great contract and still one of the best rim protectors in the league. He'll be starting for 25+ teams in the league. NExt to Dirk he's a great addition.

I also understand this whole 'wants to win a ring' excuse. Isn't building a legacy and an eventual ring much greater? Just look at how beloved Reggie Miller is in Indiana, that's worth more than rings, showing heart and love for the people who supported you through the hardships.

Players who don't get any help are excused. Garnett, LeBron etc. never had the team Durant could've had in Oklahoma this year. They were even betting favourites after the GSW-Cavs series if Durant were to return.
