Bro, it was either Hummels or Gundogan.

There's no way they would have sold us both.

I think we're pretty well versed in MC, although no one is at his level besides Vidal.

Gündogan was the one player we should have snatched away from BVB
We *bleep* it all up with Götze. Hadn't we bought Götze we could easily have bought Gündogan. He wanted to come ffs. BVB were resinged to selling him since 3 years.
But we also weren't ready to pay his wages after his year off.

A severe misjudgement.

Back then we had a still fit Schwein, Vidal, Thiago, Xabi with legs and a beasting Martinez.

The whole Goetze transfer was like a Galactico signing: new shiny toy without really needing a player of his type. Nevermind all he did was grow thicker cheeks. No way of knowing that back then.

Let's see it this way: we don't have Gundogan, but not having Gundogan moved us to buy Kimmich, who has just as much if not more potential. Same goes for Sanches even if he's still raw as frack. The way we're set, we have MCs for a decade.

Considering most Bavarians would vote for Trump, it is not surprising.

I am going to say I like the cuten cuddly rolly, polly Gotze, he won a WC, he will never have to buy a beer in a bar again. I myself will buy him that beer. I think he will come good for BVB, at least I hope he does.

Now having said that, I think Gundogan is an excellent player... as long he is healthy. Like Reus, will you ever know?

There's two top midfielders in the German NT at this moment in time, and for years to come:
Kroos, and most of all Gündogan.
Neither is at Bayern. That's bad.

To think that we have Kimmich instead is just making me sad. Kimmich is good, but he won't be as good as Gündogan or Kroos.

Not surprised to see him smashing things, the guy always had the talent but he had his injury problems. City have found hit a bargain with this especially when you look at the money spent on other midfielders. I think his injury situation and his contract probably played a part.

Well, Kroos we had but at Bayern no player is bigger than the club. I agree with that philosophy.

Gundogan we missed.

Kimmich is 21 years old. What makes you say he won't be as good? The boy has insane footballing IQ.

I like Kimmich too of course. A lot.

Just don't think he'll be as good as Gündogan.

Kroos is a sideways passing fraud of course so I give you Kroos. Kimmich is already better than Kroos.

Sorry, But I am going to turn this thread into a German midfielder love fest, before I go over to my cottage neighbour and smoke chickens, roll pancakes and drink Irish beer. I am just watching the highlights, but that was such a nice goal by Ozil and to think I wa slagging him just a coule of days ago.

Rises early morning. Plans to hit gym. Visits GL. Sees gundo thread bumped.remembers he is accidental fpl captain. Thinks he scored or at least assist. Cries in joy. Forgets its 4am in morning. Opens thread. Reads the fecker did squat and actually managed to get injured. Takes blanket. Sleeps again.

Injuries ffs. Wanted to see a Yaya, Gundogan, Silva midfield since forever. Closest you can get to prime Barca midfield. Pep plays it today and now Gundogan's out. No

Meh. Blessing in disguise.
This means Pep can go back to the 4-1-4-1 he started with (once Fernandinho is back from his ban, that is), which he changed in order to accomodate Gündogan while not having to sacrifice one of Silva or De Bruyne, to the detriment of his defense.

Is it a rupture or just damage? If it's strained he could be back in 2 months.
