Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 25
Reigns-Cena is either happening WM33 or WM35. I'm positive we will see a Reigns-Lesnar rematch at WM34, which is when Lesnar's contract expires.
If we get a Shield triple threat at WM33 and Cena-Taker, I think Ambrose will win. He's been given the short end of the stick compared to the other two. It would be a feel-good kind of moment, which WWE usually do.
Seth Rollins' situation is interesting. He'll come back to a nice babyface pop, and I assume he'll be a face. However, I don't think WWE is as big of a fan of him as y'all think. He was a transitional champ. Reigns was supposed to beat him at Survivor Series. He was always going to win the belt from Rollins. As for WM, the only reason Seth won was because Lesnar had renewed his contract. Vince still saw money in Super Sayain Lesnar, so he decided to protect him. The crowd was even more against Reigns last year than they were this year. He might not have gotten as many boos, but they were much more apathetic towards him, which is the worst thing possible.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 25
WWE does not trust Ambrose as the top guy.
Dave Meltzer said this before Wrestlemania. He said guys backstage like Ambrose but don't trust him at all to be a top guy. He predicted that Lesnar would get a strong win over Ambrose contrary to popular belief that Ambrose will have an Austin WM13 moment. I thought this was BS but behold, that is exactly what happened.
Ambrose is their backup guy. Need someone to make Bray look strong enough to face Undertaker after Cena buried him? Need someone to freshen up the title picture because Reigns is still getting booed? Need a guy to lose to Reigns on the main event of Survivor Series? Need someone to go last with Triple H on the Royal Rumble as Reigns is getting booed out of the building? Need someone to eat the pin to make Reigns and Brock look strong? Need someone to feud with Triple H because they want to keep Reigns of TV as he is still getting booed? Ambrose is that guy.

I know that, and the booking in his match at WM pretty much confirmed that. All I'm saying is that I think he would win the Shield triple threat because he's been given the least out of the 3 of them. WWE usually do that.

I can't help but feel that if the Shield triple threat happens, Reigns will win after a double spear.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 25
I still don't see Reigns as the Cena for them yet.
Look at this two title reigns, one ended after about 5 minutes and the other ended after a month.
That would have never happened with Cena, also i don't believe Rollins was a transitional champion it's not like Reigns disappeared.
He was there the entire time and in the match he won the belt from, Reigns then proceeded to feud with Bray and others on the mid-card
He never even sniffed a title match at a PPV until Rollins got injured, that isn't " The Guy " type booking and it isn't transitional guy type booking either.

Yeah I don't count someone who was booked to hold the title for 9 months a transitional champion.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 25
Rollins had one of the worst title reigns in history. Did you guys forget the way he was booked? At the end of his run, fans were turning on him. Reigns was actually getting cheered over him in the build up to Survivor Series. The reason Rollins had a 9 month title reign was because they wanted to build Reigns in the midcard, hoping he'd get more over in the process.
The story behind Reigns first two title reigns was that he was an underdog getting screwed over. They tried to give him Daniel Bryan type of booking. His second reign ended in a month because Vince wanted Roman as the babyface challenger who overcomes the bad heel (HHH).

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 25
Id say Rollins is Triple H's guy and Reigns is Vince's, just like Orton was HHH boy and Batista was hand picked by vince. As it stands Reigns will be the guy face or heel (2nd to Cena mind you) and Rollins will be 2nd in line. These two can feud for month with a title change and then they can switch roles and feud at another time. Cena will do side feuds for now until he wins his 16th title and later on passes the torch.

Doesn't mean he was transitional though, having said that because he's not seen as the guy doesn't mean he won't win the title. Anyway Rollins was supposed to be booed That's his job as a heel, if he isn't getting booed i'd argue he's doing a pisspoor job of representing his character.
Owens is like that now, people love him but he does things to make him get booed that's how that works and same with Jericho.
Edge was never the guy in terms of company representation but he had it and held it for long periods, I don't see why that isn't possible for a bunch of guys.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ambrose wins it at some point either based on that logic.

Funny how often people get injured on things that look so innocent and don't get injured on things which look like it could break your neck.

I don't disagree with everything Russo says lol, in fact some of the stuff he says i agree with. He's just responsible for a lot of crap and takes credit for things he didn't do.
What's more you think he's gods gift to Wrestling lol, he also is a known mark for AJ Styles ( he said so himself ) but that doesn't mean i have to agree with everything he says.

Nah he's a scrub imo. Nothing he say's is right.
Nakamura's an overrated indy guy who barely speaks a word of English and comes out looking like a mentally ill patient with his gestures. Which to the IWC somehow equats to goat character who's going to save the WWE. Next Yoshi Tatsu imo.

Just watched the Zayn/Nakamura match. That's considered 5*?
I had to mute the crowd halfway through too. As usual the NXT crowd were making it sound better than it was.
Don't see what Nakamura offers besides being good in the ring. Awkward body gestures aren't going to make people care about him.

Awkward gestures
There's nothing awkward about Nakamura and he absolutely oozes charisma, pretty much everyone who in the wrestling business or was can see it.
He's the last person to be accused of just 'good in the ring ". If Ambrose can get over there won't be an issue for him, the only thing that holds him back is bad booking but considering one of the reasons they signed him was to sell the product to those in Asia I don't see that being a problem.
This gimmick is already tiresome tbh, preferred the Bryan is best ever one tbh.

Watched Tye Dillinger (or whatever his name) against Nakamura on the recent NXT. Match was too short to show much but Nakamura did have some funny moments mocking Dillinger's gimmick.
This Dillinger guy is pretty funny himself. Prime jobber role on the main roster material.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 25
There is no anti smark gimmick, just calling it how it is.
Him coming out flapping his hands means nothing. There's no substance or actual character. It's the same with Finn Balor. Painting yourself twice every six months for a PPV doesn't mean you have a character.
Having a cool entrance no matter how charismatic it is doesn't = god tier main event talent. Struggle to see how he's going to make the crowd (casual audience, not IWC) connect with him when he barely speaks English.

Can't believe I am saying this. Really considering putting MT on ignore.
Tiresome gimmick. Incessant whining, constant shitposting, determined to hate because he wants to, thats his gimmick. Its like McAgger with Star Wars.
100x worse than Baron Corbin.

The only reason it seems like a gimmick is because I'm the only regular non NXT/workrate mark who posts on this thread.
I'm a regular poster on wrestlingforum and I usually get a decent amount of likes on my posts because there's a variety of different fans there. From pure indy lovers all the way to sports entertainment fans.

Tbf I'm not sure how well Nakamura will do with the RAW audience either because if you don't know much about him - like I didn't before Takeover Dallas - he does come off as strange. Different, but still weird.
Having said that, if he puts on entertaining matches he'll get over in the same way Cesaro has. You don't need to speak to be able to get over with the crowd.
