Pellegrini Empty Pellegrini

Post by BarcaLearning Mon Mar 21, 2016 1:09 pm

So what does everyone make of Pellegrini now? Man C only ever won the title through that bit of magic, and a couple of league cups, for such a hugely invested club, thats just not good enough. But Pellegrini's failings is clear for all the see now if not been for a while. Not 100% sure if all the new players were his players to bring in, but players like Demichellis who hes stuck with faith for so long despite everyone can see hes just way past it, or Navas who consistently has no end product and just not good enough, Fernando, Mangala, the list goes on. The shape and tactics of the team, after what it is now 3 years at least, still looks to be just a mess.

Couldnt be more happy to have Pep next, bye Pellegrini, so overrated.

Do you agree? Or is there other factors involved in this failed reign, especially this season of course.

Man City keeps shooting itself in the foot, they shouldn't have talked about signing a new manager in the middle of the season.

Now the guy looks like he doesn't care anymore and just want this season to end ASAP.

The football is gash, the players are completely unfit, likes to embarrass himself every week with no preparation, makes retarded decisions. Doesnt like young players, Cowardly. If he stays more than 12 months he will ruin your club. Will f*ck up every team selection without fail requiring 2 substitutions to repair the damage. The Chilean Alan Ball.
Has no business managing at the top level.
Win never win anything else in his life.
98% of City fans actually detest this sad sack.

Pretty much agree with Chemboy, I never thought that Pellegrini was that good. A prime example of an average manager who got lucky once in his career (at Villarreal) and that lead to a year at Real Madrid and has been riding on that reputation ever since.

No, just no. I know you are trying to hype Riquelme but Forlan was an immense player.

did you know that forlan can be considered a flop at m.u.

once he joined villarreal, riquelme helped him developed his skill as a striker and raise his faded enthusiasm

I forgot Riquelme was the coach of Villareal back then. I guess have to brush up on that Very Happy .
Pinning Forlan's success on Riquelme is ridiculous. And how did one of the least motivated players I've ever seen "raise Forlan's faded enthusiasm"? Maybe Forlan just sucked all the will to play from him? Laughing

We should sign Cassano to "raise the enthusiasm" of Buffon, Chiellini, Bonucci and co.

you don't know much about riquelme

that is why even pellegrini can't stand with riquelme because riquelme always want to have a say in the team play style or formation

I know, but implying Forlan's success is down to Riquelme's coaching is ridiculous. Playing with good players is beneficial to everyone, it goes both ways. The coach is the coach in the end.

Did Forlan take Riquelme's teaching to atletico madrid and uruguay hmm . The man was a genius in his own right and more accomplished than Riquelme.

Imagine if he wins CL. How can Pep top that? Just like Heynckes winning the treble after Pep was confirmed coach.

He wont win it provided Benfica doesnt pull off an upset tomorrow. Their defense will struggle against Bayern/Barca/Real.

He deserve credit though for topping the toughest group and reaching semis.

Probably, but neither Barcelona, BM or RM are at their best either and have weaknesses that can be exploited.

And City doesnt have weaknesses ?
That backline is a disaster waiting to happen. And the attackers they will face in the remaining games wont be anything like these psg scrubs either.

Of course they do everyone does, but I'm speaking about recent performance. I think Barca/BM/RM fans will all admit if we play the way we have been playing these last few games, an upset to City isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Recent performance. Well, they did well against PSG away from home. Fair play.
But what else have they done to suggest they are a form side.
Beat a Bournmouth side which has players already on their honeymoon mood after being safe in the league.
Narrowly nicked it at home against Pulis Brom.

In fact its not long before they were atrocious in the league losing games in cluster.

Their form is nothing better than Barca's form or Bayern's form right now.

Stop De Bruyne and you can stop them rather easily.
All the remaining teams barring Benfica will go in as heavy favorites against this city side if they face them.
