CL QF / Real Madrid vs Wolfsburg

Gotta love how everyone shits on us. City is 4th in the worst Premier League season of all time quality wise. Meanwhile we beat PSG. Bayern have looked strong, but so did they last time and then we beat them 5-0.


I'm shit scared of Barca and they're in a class of their own and something drastic has to happen for all teams involved to even stand a chance to beat them.

I don't see the City, PSG and Bayern hype yet. Let's see how the quarters go. Because if these tournaments have taught us anything, it is that a lot of thing chance during weeks yet alone months.

You guys can't be this salty over a draw. We got another "easy" tie, accept it and move on. Madrid is shit according to most of you so our cup run should end either now or in the semis.

Having said that, wolfsburg may have a chance. We may have won the clasico but we spent a lot of energy for that win. we will not be coming fresh for this tie. Will be interesting to see who plays first leg.

I saw Wolfsburgs highlights vs Leverkusen. Very lazy pressing and defending by the wingers and midfielders. They kept passing the ball bitween their cbs who were 2 yards from eachother.

I wonder what tactics they will use against us. Attack us which may see them score a few goals or defend in which case theyd have to be as good as Atleti, Juve and Malaga to keep us out. With Dante as the CB i somehow doubt thats going to happen

Winning against Barça is definitely a good thing and a huge confidence boost, but don't get carried away. I still rate them above us, and if we meet them in the CL semis (if we make it there), they'll still be favorites on paper.

Tata's Barça defeated Madrid at the Bernabeu, but that didn't save them from ending up trophyless.

I think Barca would have the edge in a two legged tie but we in a one legged final. So it depends on which stage of the competition we meet them in. In laliga nobody is the favourite because form goes out the window for league clasicos.

Anyways back to Wolfsburg. Ricardo Rodriguez will probbly use this game to advertise his abilities. Bale vs him is going to be a nice battle

My first leg prediction - Wolfsburg 1 Real Madrid 3, Real Madrid to go through.

Yh dont think we will keep a clean sheet. Particularly if Zidane starts rotating. We should be able to score a couple though which should be enough to see us through

Agreed PSG is the most powerful imo. Who wouldnt fear the likes of Cavani, Rabiot and Lucas

Navas has the chance to surpass Jens Lehmann for the longest amount of games without conceding a goal in the return leg. A clean sheet here and thats in the bag. He deserves nothing less

Naldo hasnt played for like 6/7 games. Poor choice to start him. I dont mind Danilo in this, Zidane is rotating and Wolfsburg are hardly Barca/Bayern. When we meet those teams i fully expect Carvajal to start. Danilo has been playing good so he is being rewarded with minutes. We should be angry with Perez for paying so much to buy him in the first place not Zidane who has his hands tied

We could have got Villarreal's Gaspar for half of what we paid for that scrub danilo
