I think simply making allowances for them in the schedule (if you have a Thursday El match don't schedule them for next Saturday) will take them a long way, whuch to be fair they already seem to be doing this season.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V10
a quick word to say thank you to Manchester city FC. my brothers 3yo grandson was left severely disabled when he was born by mistakes made by doctors. through a make a wish type of thing his mum and dad ( city fans ) got to have a day out at the club meeting the players and staff and I'm pleased to say the club players and staff were all first class with the kids and parents. apart from one. all the players took the time to talk with the kids and parents and have pictures taken with them. delph and KDB were really really good. but the sad thing is manuel pellegrini was not a nice man at all. had no time for the kids. in fact would not even look at them. refused to have a picture taken with anyone and would not talk to anyone. but other than that the club and all the staff were top class people. well done city.

Martin Keown does not believe the top teams in England will take a gamble on the Paris Saint-Germain striker (Ibra) and he could thrive at St. James' Park if his wages could be afforded

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V10
Seems the FA are going to discuss ways to ease fixture congestion. Apparently they're considering axing FA Cup replays, the two-legged League Cup semi-final, and possibly a winter break as well. Also some executive wants a CL spot to go to the FA Cup winners.
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/feb/19/football-association-champions-league-spot-fa-cup-winners?CMP=share_btn_tw
I would be shocked if any of this came to fruition but at least they're acknowledging the issue. Less fixture congestion is for both the Premier League's and Football League's benefit.

FA Cup is pretty relevant tbh. Everyone takes it seriously.
If they give a CL spot to FA Cup winners, only top 2 will make CL because we all know we're losing that 4th spot to Serie Zzzz soon.

I'm all for the axing of FA Cup replays and the 2 legged League Cup semis. Infact I woulf be in favour if they cancelled out the League Cup altogether
