Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V10
Good second half. Thing really started to get going after the penalty and Rose trolling Man City alittle bit.
Pochettino has Mourinhod this Spurs team. They just hoof it up to noone and are content with sitting back. Oh and Kane is a turnover machine, he plays like he has permanently stiff legs.

I actually agree with this. They have the best defence in the league, have a top attacking player in Kane and have possibly the best young English player in Alli(imo). They're squad is full of top quality young players. They play with a directness, but can also switch it up and play good possession game, full of pace and verve.
They also have the best manager in the league.

No chance of that happening.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V10
Mourinho'd lmao
Spurs have the best GD in the league, and play expansive, attacking football. In a huge match against a fellow title challenger like Man City at the Etihad, did you expect Tottenham to go balls out? Of course they're going to rely on their defense (the best in the league) and try and grind out a win, and that's what they did.
It was not even defending deep and counterattacking either. I wouldn't say that Spurs inability to get good opportunities wasn't even because a lack of trying, it was because Spurs didn't even play particularly well. Bit of a smash and grab tbh.

He might the next chelz manager at this rate. What they had hoped when they appointed AvB as their manager, poch could well be that guy.
And Mourinho to United is a done deal imo. Jorge Mendes is besties with united. And they would have in all likeliness already agreed to it. Its just that he wouldnt be willing to take over midway.
Would have picked pochettino over moureen any day though.

So, from last 21 PL games, Pellegrini's #mcfc have 32 pts, only one more than LvG's #mufc (31pts) in same period. Strange times in Manchester

BC criticizing Kompany when he just wanted to show Lamela's assist
Seriously though, the blame there is definitely on Otamendi. No need to step up there...there was no danger. To get nutmegged too
EDIT: Freeza is right too, he was even, even if you got rid of Kompany there

ohhh hold on mate, dont say such things so openly here on GL. Dont you know you are always supposed to downplay your team and discuss only your weaknesses and show that you are underdogs to a team like City. It doesnt matter if City have lost to Leicester, Spurs at home, even if they had Kompany, Silva and Auguero in the same team and even if your own team Liverpool beat them 4-1 at Etihad. *Shhhh be careful*

I don't have an axe to grind against anyone involved, but this would be a pretty hilarious twist in the biggest managerial appointment of the year.
Maybe Leicester could poach Aguero

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V10
before this matchday, I was actually thinking that ManUtd would close gap to top 4 so that was the reason for my bet that top 4 is not yet fixed and the gap could have been probably only 3 points. So looking at the fixture list, it is going to be almost impossible for any team from top 5 to top 7 to overtake any of the team in top 4.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V10
Disagree, do you see anyone overcoming that 6 point gap with City? It's very hard to picture United, Liverpool, West Ham or Southampton winning 3 games more than them. I'd say City has a higher chance of winning the league than of missing out on the top 4.Peccadillo wrote:El Gunner wrote:Top 4 is set lads
