When will they leave?
How long will Kane and Lukaku stay at their current clubs?
Kane and Lukaku, both 22 and both some of the hottest property in the Prem. And both play for wannabe big clubs.
What I'm wondering is that for how long can Tottenham and Everton hold on to these players? Both these clubs are in a somewhat intriguing position in the transfer market as they're positioned somewhere in between the richest PL clubs and the averagely wealthy.
Leave your thoughts / predictions about when are they going to leave their current employers and possibly for which clubs.

One of them will surely go this summer, maybe both. Who knows really, but they are obviously very sought. Kane, has a higher ceiling IMO, and being english he'll just be so expensive...

Re: How long will Kane and Lukaku stay at their current clubs?
Since Everton splashed on Lukaku, they're bound to hold on for a big fee if push comes to shove.
Business with Levy is never easy either.
So it's going to take big money to prize either of them away. There are probably only a handful of clubs who can pay those sums, a la 100m Bale.
That's assuming they continue to develop and continue being prolific without plateauing - like Wayne Rooney did.

Re: How long will Kane and Lukaku stay at their current clubs?
Yeah, what makes their situations intriguing is that both clubs will be able to hold out for massive transfer fees - but at the same time neither club can afford / are willing to pay anywhere near the sort of wages that the richer ones can. From a neutral's perspective, it would be well entertaining if the players learnt that there's a club who would pay them £200k per week, but Tottenham/Everton refuse to sell.
There's potential for some tasty transfer sagas with these players.

If it wasn't for english top clubs having brought top strikers already, they will be gone this tr. season.
But I think this summer at least one of them will move to a top English club, hard to see them leave Epl.

United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal... all could use a striker.

Well don't they have the likes of Aguero,Benteke and Costa? Not forgeting Utd spent a lot on Martial.
They will surely ask for more...dem rich basterds.

Anyway the fact that I see them moving inside EPL top teams agrees to your post, despite ridiculous money thrown for them.

Re: How long will Kane and Lukaku stay at their current clubs?
That's true - but Everton won't sell to Liverpool. And that's still a lot likelier than Levy selling to us, unless we construct his new stadium and then some.
Chelsea have Costa and Falcao. Couple of years back, nobody would have imagined that to be impotent. I think Costa can still resurrect now that Mou is gone. And Remy is a backup.
City is a strange one. They have Aguero, who gets injured too often. They have tried repeatedly to get an able backup in and not had any success. Bony isn't going to cut it either.
United - top candidate who can pull off either deal from a financial PoV, but only if they can get back in CL this season and turn things around in a big way. If things continue like they have in the last 2.5 years, their brand will see erosion at some point.

You should really not include Benteke in that list
Martial is a good point too.

Re: How long will Kane and Lukaku stay at their current clubs?
Unfortunately we're not in a position to buy from Tottenham. And don't want Everton players. Sturridge will be our star striker for the next ~4 years, which will be more like 1 year of being actually fit to play, but anyway.
But United definitely need a striker and will buy one. They'd probably like nothing better than get Kane.
Chelsea face a big question regarding Costa, are they happy to keep him as their first-choice striker? If not, they might be in for Kane as well. Don't see Lukaku rejoining them, that'd be a bit ridiculous.
And City also feel like a striker short.
And what adds to the mix is the managers. Guardiola is coming, probably to City. Chelsea will have a new manager in the summer, surely, and highly likely that United will have a new gaffer, too.

They'll stay where they are, don't think they are good enough for the aspirations that Yanited, City, Chelsea and Arsenal want.
Yes they might be better than what they have right now possibly but all of them will look for better in the end.

We're of course discounting what other clubs might do.
A Kane -> Madrid and Benzema -> Arsenal type deal would be reminiscent of Bale/Mesut. And would be amazing to rub into Tottenham fans

Here's the thing Mole - both of them are really young. As long as they don't stagnate, they both have a reasonably high ceiling which is worth a bet.
I'd rather have a 22 year old Lukaku than a 22 year old Sanogo #JustSaying

Like who? There aren't many world class strikers out there. Kane and Lukaku probably ain't world class, either, but options are limited.

Re: How long will Kane and Lukaku stay at their current clubs?
Yeah but you are not gonna spend 40m plus to replace Sanago
Also their ages don't mean much to me really, there's too much in general made of age and potential. Most players don't really get that MUCH better with age. Not to the amount these two would have to get to be realistic purchases for the teams i mentioned.

We spent 16 on Welbeck to accompany Jack in filling the void left by Diaby

Re: How long will Kane and Lukaku stay at their current clubs?
Kane has proven himself to be a top 3 forward in the league two years in a row now, with a varied skill set that beats Lukaku's. He's young, very hard working, and has been improving ever since he broke into the Tottenham team. He'll be good enough for the likes of United in due time, if he's not right now (and I don't think he is).
Problem for Kane is that, being English and having Levy as your president means that you're going to have to come in with at the very least 50 or 60 million pounds to pry him away from Tottenham. Besides that, he's come up through Tottenham--one of their own. He's happy to be at Tottenham and to wear the shirt, to be the main man and to help Tottenham achieve bigger and better things. He's bought into Poch like the rest of the team has and so unless big name Tottenham players like Lloris, Lamela, Eriksen etc leave (they won't be cheap either) and ruin what they have right now, I don't see him even wanting to leave for the time being.
This is also beside the fact that I simply don't see Levy selling to direct competition in the EPL. So, he's likely to be persuaded to sell only if it's overseas. I don't see Kane moving anytime soon. You guys must have forgot when Chelsea came in with big money offers for Modric, with Modric kicking up a storm and yet Levy/Tottenham still didn't budge. Waited for an overseas team called Madrid to sell him.
Lukaku...possibly.
