Goes without saying that I don't like van Gaal much but the way the press hunt managers these days is really shameful.

look at the way he has treated Valdes. Publicly threw him under the bus and made United fans turn on him.

The way he publicly scapegoated Schweini recently.

The way he treated many players when he came to the club and got rid of them left right and centre...some needed to go, don't get me wrong, but some were forced against their will, ie Wilson, Januzaj, Chicha (he told him he had 1% chance of playing after his Brugge miss) despite us being light in terms of striking options.

Also that look he gave to Giggs as soon as Chicha missed that sitter against Brugge. Uncalled for and knowingly the cameras picked up on it.


This guy is a dictator, it's either his way or the highway. Why do you think the players are shit scared of trying things off the cuff? It's because they fear being dropped if they don't follow his instructions. He doesn't allow freedom of thought on the field....or off it from what I've heard/read.

You do so and ur in his bad books and one step out the club, being painted the villain.

i remembered the debate in other forum about how zidane was better than riquelme because one of the reason is, riquelme flop hard in 1 season with barca when van gaal was a coach

the naivety of the people,
