Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Actually:
Cazorla - End of season
Coquelin - Mid Feb since we don't buy a DM in January
Wilshere - 2016/17
Welbeck - 2016/17
Rosicky - He's still with us? O.o
Sanchez - Rushed back in 2 weeks, injured in third week. Repeat.
Arteta - Au revoir!

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Alexis hasn't recovered in time to play against Sunderland on Saturday. Now a doubt for Liverpool on Wednesday. Wenger: “It is a precaution because of his hamstring, and it takes a few more days. He’s not bad but he’s not ready.”
No new injuries from the Newcastle game. Squad will be similar. Wenger undecided on starting any youngsters.
Cazorla and Coquelin are "doing well" but still expected to be back around March, though Wenger said Cazorla might recover a bit quicker.
Rosicky is back in full training next week and should be available soon.
Arteta is available for selection after he played in an U21 game this week.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Expecting Arteta on the bench.
It's good to see AW finally being cautious with Alexis for a game. Especially after he ran Alexis into the ground before the injury.
I think Alexis will end up on the bench for Liverpool though. And end up playing when we are chasing the game - like we did in the beginning of the season when he had only just returned from holiday and had zero preseason.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
With Ozil on form and this game a chance to rest him, it'd be nice to see Jeff get some minutes.
Scored and had a great game in general for the U-21s. Arteta only just got his first game under his belt but it'd be great to have him play if it meant we could rest Ramsey without undermining the entire team.
-------------Ospina
Chambers-Gabriel-Per-Gibbs
------Arteta----Flamini
-------------Jeff
Joel----------Giroud---Theo
In case Debuchy is actually leaving. Could also see Ox playing seeing as he probably won't vs Liverpool in the form he's been in. Could also see Wenger just play an almost unchanged team because why tf not.

I wonder who would be back first Welbeck or Alexis?

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Alexis will have fitness tests on Friday and Saturday and could be in contention for Sunday, says Wenger.
Wenger also said Danny Welbeck is 2-3 weeks away from returning to first team training and that he's confident he wouldn't find a better player on the market, effectively ruling out further signings.
No new injuries from the Liverpool game, by the looks of things.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Ozil and Alexis both expected to be fit for the Chelsea game, though Wenger seemed less sure about Alexis, saying "he should make it this time".
More good news: Coquelin is back in full training earlier than expected. Welbeck will also be back in full training soon. Rosicky will play in the U21 game tomorrow.
No new injuries from the Stoke game.

No point risking Ozil and Sanchez for Chelsea, no mater what we do it will end as a draw or loss.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
-Coquelin is aiming to return to the matchday squad against Burnley but it does depend on how he trains this week.
-Welbeck will return to training tomorrow but Wenger isn't expecting him to be in the matchday squad for another 2 weeks. [@JWTelegraph]

Meh no point in risking him for the game vs Burnley. Maybe give him a few mins at the end if he is indeed completely ready to return.

Just had it confirmed that Rosicky suffered a setback on his return yesterday (Thigh). Could be 6 weeks. #afc

I'd wait and see what Arsene had to say, Jack himself said he was taking time with his rehab and Arsene never put any specific time line on his come back

You know he'll be fit just before the Euros, go there, and break his leg again.

Wenger on Jack.
So Jack is 4 weeks away from being 4 weeks away to return.
on Jack Wilshere…
He is looking good. I had a short chat with Roy Hodgson about him and reassured him that he is progressing well. I’m cautious but I will say four weeks [until he is back].
