Re: Which players are quietly having a bad season?
Benatia was injured so many times. Always out with something in the past. He's now playing a bit.
I think he's a terrific defender and he's doing good when on, but he's not necessarily first choice.
We'll see whether a first choice develops next to Boateng now that Martinez, Benatia and Badstuber are all back. My guess would be that both Badstuber and Martinez might be slightly ahead of Benatia in preference. But Benatia is no doubt someone we can rely on IF he's fit to play.
Someone who's having a quietly unimpressive season is Bernat, though he too is injured now so it's not really fair to say.
But I thought he was rather poor in the few matches he played beginning of the season.

Rudiger isn't up to scratch like many said, also surprised no one mentioned Destro (despite his recent goal) went 800 something minutes without a goal lol, finally Perotti hasn't been that prominent for Genoa compared to last season (sent off v Sassuolo lol)

Am I allowed to name Yaya Toure, or have his poor performances not gone unnoticed?

I think he's done all right. Bony is the one who's let them down when called upon.
Let's put it this way that if you include Yaya, I'll include Sterling

The guy is 38 years old. Retired in the summer but Udinese convinced him to stay another because he was still scoring goals.
He's not having a bad season. He's old.

He needs 3 more goals to score 300 career goals at club level.
Hope he gets it.

Surprised it took a while for him to be mentioned.
He's been bad so far. But has looked promising in the past 2 league games when played as a striker. So there's hope for him in maybe a new role.

On a more serious note I'd add Morata. I expected more from Vietto though I'm talking about more time on the pitch.

Re: Which players are quietly having a bad season?
Regarding the Roma players mentioned:
Dzeko - He's not getting consistent service honestly, but when he's on the ball and in dangerous positions, he's quite good. It's down to injuries on the wing and the way Garcia has the midfield set up, who are defending more than they should have to, which means Dzeko is dropping deeper to try and find the ball. He's been working very hard and I think he looks really sharp. Just isn't getting the ball to feet nor is he being found in the right positions. This is more on the tactical situation than on him. He's not a creator of his own chances obviously.
Rudiger - Agree tbh. I think he's had some strong individual performances (first game against Barcelona being the highlight), but he doesn't read the game well at all. Manolas is a better defender, but also doesn't read the game as well as many of us would like. Players like these 2 need a more experience defender who can marshal the backline and help them improve the mental aspects of their game. Castan was supposed to be this player, but he hasn't been playing much due to the effects from his brain surgery. Rudiger will come good only when he has a steady and stable partner. Maybe that's here, but more likely it's back in Germany since Stuttgart have said they won't give us a discount on him anyway.

How is going Schweinsteiger instead ? Can him be included ? Not seen often Manchester United this year

I think he got a couple of lucky corner-kick goals, but if his name wasn't Schweinsteiger, people would be laughing at United for buying another Garrick to solve their midfield issues.

Schweini is doing as expected IMO.
Not bad, not particularly sparkly. Utd fans seem to be turning on him though, because he enables van Gaal's possession game. Not sure what they were expecting.

Yeah, it's not Schweini's fault, he's doing as I expected, just amusing that United bought him in the first place and expected something better.

Carrick was never a problem in Utds midfield IMO. He's a great player, end of.
Utd's problems of course are more due to van Gaal chasing the best players out of court (let's not forget they had managed to buy di Maria), not using Herrera, buying inconsistent youngsters instead; getting Schweinsteiger for a few million pound is not one of them
