Arsene and the coaching staff watch all the youngsters and analyse their performances. They know who is ready and who isn't. If he says Macey isn't ready to handle 90 at this level then he ain't simple as that. If there was any other young offensive player who was ready, don't you think Arsene would have played them tonight ? He said it himself before the Speerz game that the youngsters who are ready are for first team football are on loan. You can't put a young player who isn't ready in these sort of games. you will kill his confidence, it will be detrimental to his development.

We should have played Macy for all the f**ks that are being given today by the players and the manager, evidently.

If Macy is not even ready to play in a game which the club clearly doesn't give a shit about, then it is maybe time for him to go to a club where he actually has a future.

Wenger shamelessly got Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain injured by playing them in a pointless competition. I really have no sympathy for the man in this regard.

I hope they were both cautionary withdrawals. They looked ok sitting on the bench.

We say that in hindsight. Before the game I thought most were okay with Ox playing because he needs more time on the pitch.

And it's not like Ox or Walcott have had heavy workloads. We should have been able to play them without fearing they'd be injured.

If poor preparation was going to result in their injuries, then they would have gotten injured sooner or later anyway.

Theo injury is reported to be from insufficient warm up. If that is the case, then there is no way of explaining away that blunder.

Can we recall Gnabry?
