It seems like a no-brainer, with Pulis ostracizing him, us piling up injuries in one position and Campbell being horrible.

Full-time. We're out, like most of us wanted. Not at all bothered by the result or performance. Hope that Ox and Theo are okay for the busy run of games we've got coming up.

Would be great for once if both of them are just out for 2-3 days and at best a week.
Ramsey needs to get back asap though.

Re: Sheffield wednesday Vs Arsenal [COC]
It is obvious that playing a needless extra game can result in an injury. Giroud, Walcott, Cech, Mertesacker, Oxlade-Chamberlain could all have had a weeks rest after a hard week. Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain would now be available and fresh for selection against Swansea.
Team selection has always been a serious flaw of Wenger and it gets exposed the bigger his squad is.

Meh, he gets unlucky. I dont think that the only 2-3 senior players he puts in a b/c team gets injured because of his selection lol.

Walcott and Chamberlain could be fresh for Swansea and still get a muscle injury if something goes wrong somewhere. All I'm saying is that the threat of injury wasn't immediately apparent with them. Walcott didn't even play in the last game - are we seriously going to sit here and say we took a needless risk by playing him tonight?

Ugh. My plans to be able to watch, or even follow along live, with the match were foiled today. So I only looked up the results afterward, and damn, sounds like I missed the right miserable match.

If it was any other competition than I would agree but considering that this is the Carling Cup, I consider every minute played from first team players unnecessary and needless no matter the circumstances.
I hope we can still win away to Swansea but this is a serious blow for us and it really infuriates me that these players were not rested for much more important games that are coming up.

Meh this is all in hindsight talk by @urbaNRoots why didn't you rage when a few first teamers also played against Spurs in this competition.

To play a small number of first teamers like Ox, Merte, then Walcott, who had been rested before or hadn't played regularly, alongside younsters and the B players, is absolutely reasonable team selection though.
Not letting a player warm up sufficiently might be aproblem however

So long as we avoid injury, I don't care.

It isn't and Theo's / Oxlade-Chamberlain's injuries prove just that.

This was what pissed me off. If that is the case, (mind you, it was only reported as a possible thing), then it is incredibly stupid of Wenger.
Ox was unforseen and not due to warm up. Given the luck our players coming through the youth ranks have with injuries, I wasn't even surprised.

Re: Sheffield wednesday Vs Arsenal [COC]
I dont really care much about the loss but losing 2 players and the rest showing no effort is very disappointing for the fans that travailed to watch the match.
Wenger should have never sent Theo in after seeing Oxe go down.

Walcott (calf) & Ox (hamstring) expected to miss 3 games. Early indication TW slightly worse but both set to be out for #Swans #Bayern #THFC

Re: Sheffield wednesday Vs Arsenal [COC]
So the question now is: who plays RW? I'm guessing it'll be Campbell, but he's hardly impressed. Or maybe Cazorla will push up into attacking midfield and Flamini/Arteta play alongside Coquelin. Neither option sounds appealing.

Re: Sheffield wednesday Vs Arsenal [COC]
433 with Öz-Alexis either side and Arteta[if Fit!]+Coq-Caz in midfield vs Bayern imo
for league keep 4231 of recent times with Joel Rw till other first teamers return

Re: Sheffield wednesday Vs Arsenal [COC]
While we have no hope of a win without Walcott at Allianz, I don't think a point would be bad at all. We just need to try and avoid losing. Easier said than done obviously with Bayern's stupid record at home. And the fact they actually need to win this time they will be onto us since 1st min. Specially with Robben.
Best is to have players who can cover a lot of ground. Specially on the wings since Robben-Costa will destroy our fullbacks if they don't have protection.
play a 4-4-1-1
Cazorla----Coquelin---Arteta------Sanchez
--------------Ozil----------------------------
-------------------Giroud--------------------
