I assume he's coming mostly to mentor the young kids and improve atmosphere in the dressing room. From what I've read he's aiming at some sort of sporting role within the club. I suppose Xavi sees him as an "adviser", someone who could help with the sporting project

The difference is that when Zlatan joined, Milan had no old guard so there were no leaders. None of the young players knew what it was like to be around a winner. It also helps that he was still scoring at a consistent pace and he could still be a starter because of his playing style and how players would perform better with him on the pitch as a reference up front.

It's not the same case at Barca as Alves wouldn't be starting regularly I imagine and Barca already has an old guard of winners. Maybe Alves hasn't been inflicted with the choker stink that guys like Pique, Busquets, and Alba have. Either way I can't see him having the impact Ibra did.

Some ppl prolly make jokes about this... but sad news as a long time fan for me, found guilty n getting 4 yrs prison time apparently? Though prolly will not spent a lot of it in actual jail... n the yr or so already past counts already... anyway, if they can give such sentence with enough evidence then hes prolly guilty in some way at least...

Hes always been a bit of a crazy character, I guess its part of the package

We have a similar law in Argentina. Time spent in jail without a sentence counts twice towards your jail time.

It's bullshit he's getting away with a slap in the wrist if he does get a reduced sentence, but his reputation is ruined forever.

It's not a bad law really, the real problem is that he got only 4.5 years for rape whereas it should be 20 minimum imo
